"Wow."

I spin around for Mason a few times so he can see the dress. It's purple and very long. It's a mermaid style dress and I feel pretty in it, but awkward since my brother just 'wow'ed me. I strike a cute pose then go back into my dressing room to try something else on. Through all the glitter, sequins, and rhinestones, I see something that catches my eye. I reach for it when I hear Mason say my name. I walk back out in the mermaid dress it see Mason standing by some purses and shoes.

"Do you want some of these?"

I smile really big.

"That would amazing. Should I pick out my dress first though?"

"Sure. You can keep trying them on and I'll just browse."

I make my way back to the dressing room and try to find the running dress again. I pull it out from the bundles of cloth surrounding it and admire it as I begin to try it on.

Normally I would go for the dress or skirt that covers my skin and isn't tight anywhere. I have no idea what has gotten into me as I step into this dress. It has mesmerizing designs on the top that sparkles and the bottom is ruffled. It's a beautiful color that I absolutely love and my mom did too. It's almost coral but has a hint of a baby pink in there. There aren't any straps but it fits me perfectly. An adorable belt is on the dress with a beautiful bow attached to it. I step out of the dressing room.

"How about this one?"

Mason turns around and stops dead in is tracks.

".... You look....wow...I mean... "

I giggle a bit and spin as much as I can in the short dress without an unflattering view.

"So do you want that one?"

I smile and nod my head. I then realize that Mason doesn't have a job and he wouldn't have very much money from the military since he had such a short amount of time there. I decided to not ask this question to myself anymore so I just asked Mason.

"Where are you getting the money for my outfit from? Prom usually costs over $500."

Mason turned to me and said,

"The military gave me some money since I was wounded in battle. I also earned some from fighting."

So that's were yes getting it. I should have guessed.

"Thank you. You don't have to spend that money on me though. That should be for you."

Mason just smiled and replied,

"Seeing you so happy is good enough for me."

A/N: Thank you all so much for reading this story! I feel like it is coming out just as I had hoped (just a little slower than expected). I am trying to do my best with the updates but lent won't be a problem anymore after Easter. I can update multiple times a week if possible. I am so blessed that people want to read this story and I hope that the end leaves them feel satisfied. I hope this chapter was also longer than the previous ones.
Until next week!
