The rain was pouring. The raindrops fell on the ground, concealing the cries and sadness deep within her.
She held her fingers, felt the ring in her hand. While the memories of their relationship flashed in her eyes.
He was perfect. His dimples, smile, and his heart was hers. But she was nothing, just a random girl from the neighborhood.
He loved her so much, he didn't care what others would think. He proposed her that day, under the Eiffel Tower, the stars and fireworks, was a man on his knees.
He held a box in his hands and a ring was revealed inside. Sparkles from the ring glimmered and the galaxy in that man's eyes could tell how sincerely he loves her. She was close to tears, she didn't know what to feel.
She knows that they both love each other, care, and understood each other more than anyone else. But she felt like he was perfect for her, but she's not perfect for him.
All her insecurities, flaws, and imperfection made her doubt that they could make it. She woke up from this dream, and realized that reality is bitter. Love isn't perfect, and only time can tell us what happens next.
She went down, held his hands and closed the box, hiding the ring's glimmer. And said "Kim Namjoon, I love you, but some people are just not meant to be". "I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry" Those were her last words to him before she lets go and runs into the city.
