DEVLIN AND LOKI sit outside of Ravonna's office, Devlin bouncing his leg up and down as they anxiously wait. Loki has to fight the overwhelming and confusing urge to put his hand on Devlin's knee and ease his anxieties.

Suddenly, Mobius walks out of the office with an excited look. "We're on."

Devlin and Loki quickly jump up, following Mobius into an elevator.

Soon, they step out of the elevator and into the large locker room from before. They hastily walk to Mobius' locker.

"We are doing some good work today." Mobius states, opening up his locker and grabbing a raincoat.

"I thought so, too."

"I'm telling you, you actually help us catch this Variant, then who knows, my friend."

"What, good enough for a face-to-face with the Time-Keepers?" Loki asks, leaning on the wall.

"I didn't say that."

"One step at a time, Loki." Devlin says with a grin, leaning against the wall as well.

Mobius grabs two daggers from his locker, then hands them to Loki. "Just in case."

Loki quickly grabs them, sighing in relief. But, B-15 walks by and snatches them from him.

"Absolutely not!" She walks past them and places the daggers in her locker. "Gather around for a debriefing."

Joined by Minutemen, Devlin, Loki, and Mobius stand in a circle in the middle of the room.

"Roxxcart is a vast superstore commons to the area," B-15 explains, her hands behind her back. "It consists of a series of sprawling sections, including a large warehouse. This warehouse is being used by civilians as a shelter trying to ride out the storm. Remember, this is a class ten apocalypse. While the Variant shouldn't know we're coming, they could be hiding anywhere and should be considered hostile. So stay alert. Every time there is an attack, the Variant steals a reset charge. They're planning something. We just don't know what. So keep an eye out for the missing charges, and if you see a Loki, prune it."

"Preferably, the other Loki." Loki speaks up, earning a small laugh from Devlin.

"Don't worry, they won't prune you," Devlin says, then stares at B-15 dangerously. "Right?"

B-15 glares, but doesn't respond. As she and the other Minutemen disperse, Devlin practically growls.

2050

THUNDER RINGS THROUGH Devlin's ears as he steps under the rain, immediately drenching his clothes.

Devlin smiles lightly, tilting his head up and letting the rain hit his face. He can feel Loki's eyes on him, and his grin brightens slightly.

"Like what you see, Kjæreste?" Devlin questions, looking up at the taller Asgardian, and smirking smugly when he notices the ravenet's small blush.

Loki doesn't even respond, just clears his throat and walks forward, joining Mobius and the others. Devlin laughs, then catches up, following them into the superstore.

The automatic doors open, and the group walk inside, their squeaky footsteps causing Devlin to sigh in annoyance.

As the doors close behind them, both Loki and Devlin share a look. Rolling their shoulders, the two use their magic in order to dry their clothes and hair.

B-15 turns and sees the two now completely dry Asgardian's. "The hell was that?"

Devlin suppresses a laugh at B-15's expression, and says, "That was us using magic to dry our clothes."

"So we don't announce ourselves with every squeaky footstep like the rest of you." Loki adds.

Abruptly, the lights flash, the group surrounded by darkness. But it doesn't last, and the lights turn back on, flickering slightly.

B-15 turns to one of the Minutemen. "Take both teams and sweep the storm shelter."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Loki, Devlin, and I are gonna check out the green house. We'll meet back at the..." Mobius begins, but is cut off by B-15.

"No."

Mobius turns to her, raising an eyebrow. "No?"

"You go with D-90," B-15 gestures to Devlin and Loki. "They stay with me."

"What are you talking about? They're under my supervision."

"This is my field op, Mobius. If they're not a threat, then it won't be a problem."

"Of course they're a threat. Do you not remember the Time Theater?"

"Mobius..." Loki tries, but Mobius continues.

"That's why I want them with me."

"You are more than welcome to go back to the TVA and litigate with Renskater, but right now..."

"We're here. We're not going back. The Variant is here."

"Mobius," Loki says, getting the others' attention. "It's fine. It's fine. You can trust me. I understand I have to earn that, so I will."

Mobius glances between Loki and Devlin, the latter smiling innocently and not helping the situation at all. He sighs. "Why is it the people you can't trust always say, 'Trust me'? Okay, try to hang on to your Time Caller this time."

Mobius walks off, a few of the Minutemen following closely behind. Devlin watches them go, then turns to B-15, smirking.

"Looks like you're stuck with us, now," Devlin says, stepping  forwards slightly. "Ooh, I can't wait to annoy the shit out of you."
