"You actually managed to do this!" Thor let out excitedly as he strode up and pulled both Kitri and Loki into his strong embrace, who had just made a show out of arriving back in Asgard. Kitri had asked Heimdall to move her to Alfheim while Loki teleported there with his own powers.

Loki's location was finally revealed to him as Kitri requested to have both of them retrieved back, and he immediately had a guard call for Thor as he began the transportation.

Thor arrived through the doors just as they materialized, seemingly having kept himself not too far from Heimdall in anticipation for their arrival. He tightly hugged them both.

Kitri rolled her eyes with a smile on her face and hugged him back, and even though Loki usually hates this kind of contact, he patted Thor twice on the back in acknowledgement.

"I spoke to our father. He will not punish you for escaping, brother." Thor informed. "I think we are all just happy to see you finally return."

"I find it a little doubtful that Odin is happy, but I am pleased to see you too, Thor." Loki admitted.

"Hmm our little adventure seemed to give you some one sided bonding time with Thor, it seems." Kitri thought with a knowing smirk, but Loki rolled his eyes at her, showing some annoyance through thought as they began following Thor back to Odin's halls.

Loki took her hand into his as they walked, happy that for once they didn't have to hide their affection in front of others.

Loki did drop her hand as they walked into the throne room, walking forward to greet his father. He walked in front of the throne but did not kneel, still feeling like it was beneath him to do so.

"You have returned." Odin observed. "I have decided to forgo giving you punishment. Perhaps I was too harsh on you the first time with this full restriction of freedom. Unless our representative of the Avengers here has an issue with this." Odin motioned to Kitri. "You did bring him back, I hear."

During this conversation, Thor walked to Ktiri's side and excitedly leamed over to whisper to her. "So I assume his return means he also mirrors your feelings, yes?"

Kitri bit down a smile as she nodded, before nodding back toward Odin and Loki to bring his attention back to what was going on in front of them.

"About that..." Loki started as he took a quick second to turn around and wink at her before looking back toward his father. "Kitri and I have become... very fond of each other during our time together. I did not realize the extent of it until she found me in Alfheim. In fact, we wish to wed."

Thor looked thrilled as be nudged Kitri, who's face was instantly colored by a deep blush.

Odin looked completely thrown off from this, looking at Kitri for a confirmation that she provided with one single nod as they locked eyes. Yet he still seemed suspicious. "Me not punishing you now does not mean-"

"I am not asking for the throne, father." Loki interrupted. "Thor is older than I am, and I know he will be the one to take it by your rules. I have finally accepted that fact. Me saying this is not for that purpose."

"Thor must still wed first." Odin announced after a thoughtful pause. Kitri's face fell as both Thor and Loki let out a unified "What?!"

"I do not need all of Asgard having doubt of who will be next to hold the throne." He said confidently as he stood from the throne and walked down the steps, his infamous spear making echoing clanks on the white and gold marble of each step he set it on as he descended to face Loki. "Such is my rule."

Lokis shocked expression turned to one of pure anger.

"That is absurd!!!" Loki spat. "You create these rules, and after all I have done you cannot even give me this chance at being happy?"

Kitri quickly strode over and placed a hand on his shoulder, Thor slowly walking toward them as well. "Allfather, it does not even need to be a public ceremony." She offered as she tried to use her touch to calm him. Even with their grown powers there still was fear that was instilled in her of Odin. He was incredibly wise, hungry for knowledge and making grand sacrifices for it that others would not dare make.

A worthy foe.

"Father..." Thor just let out in a low tone as he shook his head.

Odin looked between them but seemed to have his mind set, hitting the ground with the end of his spear to get them to focus their attention even more. Still he allowed for some leeway. "Nothing large or public until Thor is wed first. If you wish to have something more private before then, you are welcome to do so." He concluded.

Loki still stared Odin down, wide eyed and speechless. Before shaking his head and swiftly turning around to leave the throne room. Kitri followed closely behind, Thor letting out a deep sigh before he bowed before his father in respect. "We will find a worthy solution, and thank you again for not punishing him further."

"Let us discuss this conflict in private." Kitri pleaded through thought as they walked.

"What in Hel is there to discuss, Kitri??" Loki was furious, feeling like he was near the point of no return when it came to Odin.

Thor then joined them outside, walking briskly to them and placing one hand on each shoulder reassuringly.

"I do not think I can convince him to change his mind, yet... I have been considering proposing to Sif." Thor admitted thoughtfully, caringly trying to figure out a way around Odin's rule. "Or Sindr to be quite honest, if such a thing was possible between our realms..."

Kitri couldn't help but smile at the mention of her close infernal friend.

She squeezed Loki's shoulder reassuringly. "Let us have children before any wedding anyhow." She thought. "Not the normal way of life as expected by Asgard, which is the exact reason I feel like you will support this decision." She winked as she looked at him, trying to lift his spirits.

Loki shook his head but cracked a half smile, confusing Thor on how the gentle touch of this woman and seemingly meaningful silence made him ease his mind and react like that.

"I may have... started the process of this from our last sexual encounter." She admitted through thought.

Lokis eyes widened, suddenly looking back to Thor and excusing himself as he grabbed a tight hold of Kitris wrist and dragged her behind him back toward his own chambers.

Once safely behind his door, finally no guards assigned to look over him, he held her face as he gazed deep into her eyes. "You..."

He couldn't even finish the thought.

She nodded. "Seems that you are in a fatherly role once again." She teased with a smile, and he pulled her into a tight embrace.

"Nine days." She let out. "Our kind is the same as yours. Birth is in nine days, not months like the Midgardians. Yet still nine. One for each realm." She felt hot tears streaming from his face into her hair.

"I have never been so excited for kin, my sweet." Loki admitted. "Curse Odin and his selfish one eyed gaze of judgement. Marrige or not, you are the queen in my eyes none the less, and I am excited to share this experience with you."

Kitri shed tears of her own as she tightly hugged him back.

The broken man, even though hurt and rebroken by others time and time again seemed to finally be whole just from those few words she had shared.
