Mentions of Child Abuse/Torture

In the weeks following Harrison's demand, things looked different at the BAU. They weren't as busy which they would've been happy about if it weren't for the circumstances surrounding the time off. Amanda had taken Spencer to at least 4 different doctors so far in hopes of figuring out what was wrong with him. Sadly, so far, they haven't found anything. Luckily his headaches had been getting better and as a result, he found a way to fill up his newfound free time.

Which is how Amanda finds herself laying in bed with nothing more than a sheet covering her as she watches her boyfriend search their closet in nothing more than a pair of boxer briefs. After a couple more moments she sighs in contentment. "How did I get so lucky?" Spencer turns his head to the side to look at his girlfriend in surprise. He had known her since they were twelve and he still wondered what she saw in him.

"Lucky how?" He responds before looking back into the closet and finally settling on a red sweater vest and a white shirt to pair it with before stepping out of the closet. As soon as he steps out Amanda chuckles and he looks at her in confusion.

"You're coming out of the closet," she jokes and he frowns before understanding the joke and rolling his eyes with a chuckle.

"You're such a dork," he teases and she throws her head back with a laugh.

"I'm okay with that," she responds as he pulls out a pair of black slacks and Amanda frowns. "Is that what you're planning to wear?" Spencer returns her frown as he looks at his outfit and Amanda chuckles. "Babe, did you ever think that maybe the reason that you're always so nervous when you guest lecture is because you choose outfits that stand out?"

"I always wear these kinds of clothes," he points out and Amanda nods.

"Exactly and that's fine because you work with adults but you still look like you should be getting your doctorate. They'll relate to you if you let them."

"How do I do that?"

"You make them think that you understand them by dressing the way they do. I can help you if you want." Spencer considers it, not wanting to feel even more out of place by being in unfamiliar clothes. Then he realized that Amanda had never let him down before and nods with a sigh.

"Can you?" She grins and stands from the bed, letting the sheet fall to the floor. Spencer focuses his gaze on the ceiling, knowing that if he looks, things will escalate and he'll be late to the lecture at Georgetown and Amanda will be late for her mandated therapy.

Amanda throws one of Spencer's shirts over her head. "You can look," she reveals and he does, noting how good she looks in his shirt. Amy walks over to the closet and starts digging through it. After a couple of minutes, she comes out with a blue collared shirt and a pair of khaki cargo shorts. "Seriously, you put shorts and jeans in the closet."

"You never put anything in the closet. Besides, I don't like my clothes to be wrinkled."

"Because you wear cargo shorts and jeans so much." He shrugs and Amanda chuckles before handing him the clothes.

"You're dressing me like a frat boy?"

"Yup. Now get dressed." He reluctantly obeys, hating cargo shorts because of all of the pockets. Spencer was positive that by the day's end he would have no clue where his wallet was. He was about to tell Amanda that he thinks he should stick with his original clothing choice when he notices the look on her face.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I'm trying to figure out if we have enough time for a quickie before you have to leave because you look super sexy." Spencer feels his cheeks redden, deciding that the outfit is worth losing his wallet for.
