It was a mildly cold winter day and Laura had her left hand on the steering wheel of the car. her right holding onto Carmilla's hand, Carmilla whom was sitting in the passengers seat. Laura had just picked Carmilla up at the airport. She had been in England, visiting museums and historical landmarks that she found to be very interesting. the two girls had made plans to go sledding when Carmilla returned home, so they were driving to an old sliding hill that Laura had visited often during her childhood. they drove on a small road, fingers interlocked and a mixtape of The 1975 playing softly in the background. When they finally arrived to their destination, Laura looked over at Carmilla and smiled. the girls got out of the car and walked towards the back of it. "you ready cutie?" Carmilla asked, smirking slightly. "yeah" Laura replied, grabbing the sled out of the back seat of the car, a huge smile planted on her face. Laura grabbed Carmilla's hand and ran with her towards the huge hill that stood a few feet away from them. When they reached the top of the huge snowy hill, Laura carefully placed down the sled and sat on the front of it, gesturing for Carmilla to get on as well. Carmilla sat down on the back half of the sled and wrapped her arms around Laura's waist. "okay here we go" Laura said with excitement in her voice as she placed her hands on the ground. "three, two, one!" she exclaimed, and pushed her hands back on the ground. the sled quickly accelerated down the hill. both girls screamed in excitement, as they felt the wind on their faces and quickly headed down the hill. When they reached the bottom of the hill they fell over and became entangled in one another, laughing and shaking snow out of their hair. They climbed back up the hill and slid down a few more times before packing up the sled again and driving back into town.
They stopped for hot chocolate and then continued to drive. "So I was thinking..." Laura trailed off nervously. "Yeah?" Carmilla replied, looking over at Laura and playing with her fingers. "Well uh.. I was thinking I could maybe take you out to dinner tonight.." Laura said shyly. "If that'd be cool with you uh.. If you wanted to I mean" she added nervously. Carmilla leaned over and softly kissed Laura on the cheek. "I think I'd like that a lot actually" Carmilla replied, smirking. Laura felt her face redden as she continued to drive down narrow road. They drove for hours, listening to music and signing along to their favourite songs. They were headed to Laura's favourite childhood restaurant. It was a bit far away and it was going to be a surprise to Carmilla. They finally arrived and Carmilla smiled and giggled slightly. Laura got out and opened the door for her even though Carm insisted that it was too cheesy for her to do that. The two girls walked in and sat down. They ordered dinner and talked and laughed and smiled all night. They had a lovely time and then got up to pay the check and leave the restaurant. When they arrived back at their room, it was incredibly clean and the two girls shared confused glances. Laura then picked up a small post-it note that read "LaFontaine went to visit with family today so I needed something to do. Your guys's washroom was a mess! - Perry" Laura giggled and showed Carmilla the note. She read it and then set it down and looked up at Laura affectionately. "Laura..." She said quietly "there's been something I've wanted to do ever since you came to pick me up today" she looked down. "Wh-what is it Carm?" Laura said, becoming shy and feeling her face redden at the sound of Carmilla's soft voice. Carmilla leaned in slowly and wrapped her arms around Laura's waist, kissing her passionately, Laura's back against the wall. Laura placed one hand on Carmilla's back, the other one rustling through her hair. They kissed until they were both breathless and had very red faces. "I- uh I missed you a lot Carm" Laura said shyly. "I missed you too cutie" Carmilla replied, kissing Laura softly once more.
