Two weeks later, everything was almost back to normal. Riley came home four days later after her c-section, complaining that she was in pain and it was Xerxes's fault. He didn't care because he did what he had to. Saving his wife and children's lives was the only thing that he cared about at that moment, and that is what he did. He didn't have the time to wait for Kane or Mary to make their way to the surgery room.

"You good, bro?" Leon asked, walking into Xerxes's office. He nodded, pointing to the chair in front of the desk for him to sit. It wasn't anything wrong they just had the gala in two days, and Xerxes wasn't ready for it.

"I'm good. Not ready for this shit show that I let my sister and wife talk me into. Hell, I didn't want to do the fucking auction when the Bergs did the shit. Now I have to let these thirsty ass men bet on my wife, sisters, sister-in-law, Ma, and aunties. Shit, I know J and I alone are about to kill somebody then our dads, Uncle Trigger, Dj, and 3D all of these men are about to see their maker."

"What all of you need to do is chill. You know your wives only want yall. Why be so damn overprotected? These men know...."

"Keep telling yourself that, Leon. If it were My'esha up there: Tell me, how would you be?" Xerxes said, cutting him off with a smirk.

"Fuck you, X. What is the color scheme? I never did this shit before... I heard Killa is coming. Man, I thought his ass was supposed to be dead by now."

"Black and Gold like always.... And that is whatI thought too. I think he lied to try to get close to his family. It didn't work, but yeah, he and his wife or long-timegirlfriend, whatever she is. Is coming, and Pops isn't too happyabout it neither is Uncle Darius or Aunt India. He's donating, and I wasn't going to stop him. I plan to check him out once he is here today.Black and silver. Just act stuck up like most of the snobby rich folks there, and you will fit in just fine." X said, making Leon nod

Leon laughed, shaking his head. "That is what I am afraid of."

"I can't believe it! You are at your doctor's appointment on time and without me calling your little ass," Adele said to her son as Xerxes glared at her. She laughed and motion for him to remove his shirt.

"How have you been feeling?"

"Fine. I'm sore sometimes but fine," X said as Adele gently touched his scar and along his ribcage. It was still sore to the touch, but he managed it.

"Baby, you know you can show your pain to me. I'm your Mama, not an enemy or your Dad." Dele said as Xerxes stared at her. His eyes slightly turned from blue to grey before looking away.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Why must you always think something is the wrong Mother," Xerxes said, forcing Adele to make him look at her.

"Because I'm your Mother, and I know when something is wrong with my children. I didn't carry your ass for six months for nothing. I raised you and know your ass like that back of my fucking hand. So, I know when something is bothering my child. Are you and Riley having problems?"

"WHAT?! NO! Riley and I are fine. I'm telling you, Ma, I'm fine," Xerxes said, making Dele sigh.

"Have you been taking your iron pills?"

"Yes, Mother. And my heart medication and my inhalers. You and Riley make sure of that," Xerxes said, making Adele glare at him. She never treated him differently, but with Xerxes being born early as he was, it gave him heart problems and asthma that wasn't diagnosed until it almost killed him at the age of six, and of course, he had her iron deficiency. He, Eli, and Kamaria, but Xerxes never show his illness.
