18. The Contract

I really hate my life right now. Maybe this not the first time I am having this feeling but i am tired of it. My life was never normal and i don't even expect it to. But sometimes I want to leave my life like a normal person.

But i can't...

I was forcefully dragged back to reality when i heard someone coughing or should I say trying to get my attention.

"I think you have cough why don't you drink some cough syrup " i said calmly and then continued ignoring him.
It has been almost 1 week since i fought with Andrew.

Andrew has been trying to apologize me but everytime i am successful in ignoring him. I won't forgive him so easily.
What does he thinks of himself??? Bloody idiot.

"Athena will you stop that" he said irritatingly.
"Stop what???" I asked innocently.
"Stop ignoring me "

"Ok, i am extremely sorry for what i did that day " he apologized but as usual I ignored him.

"I am sorry. I know that i shouldn't have behave like that. It's just that i was so stressed that i became angry on me. It's wasn't your fault " he said sadly.

Seriously!! He thinks that he will give some bullshit explanation and I will forgive him so easily.

"Athena i am sorry i promise it won't happen again and you can even go to see your family i don't mend. Just inform me before you go" he said.

Those words caught my attention and I was really tempted to forgive him. But before that i need to make sure that he is not lying.

"Are sure about it??" I asked
"Yes" he replied

"So do you forgive me??" He asks
I nodded in yes.
"That's great " he said while smiling at me. And then we continued eating our food in a peaceful silence.

When i was done eating and was about to leave the dinning room Andrew stopped me by saying.
"I have something for you"

I looked at him confusedly. After few minutes a maid entered the dining room with a black box in her hand. Andrew took the box from her and gave it to me.

I slowly opened the box and my eyes widened when I saw a beautiful sapphire diamond laying inside it.
It is the same diamond that i wanted to buy in the charity ball but Andrew brought it.

"Why're you giving me this" i asked
"Because I brought it for you " he replied
Brought for me??? That's so confusing

"I saw you looking at it and i knew that you wanted so i brought it for you as an thank you gift" he explained.
"Thanks Andrew for it but i can't take it " i replied
"Why???" I asked

"Andrew this is very expensive i can't take it like that " i said.
I wanted this diamond but i can't take it for free and i am sure that he won't take money from me too.

"Athena listen i know that you don't want to take this since it's very expensive but i brought this for you so if you don't take it then i will throw it away " he said

What ??? Have he lost his mind. This is such a precious diamond and he wants to throw it away. I looked into his eyes and I knew that he wasn't joking.

"Fine i will take it" i replied.
"Good" he said.

After that i went back to my room with the black box in my hand. I walked inside the closet and kept the diamond inside the locker so that it will be safe. Afterall it's a very expensive diamond and not to mention very rare.

All of sudden my phone started ringing and i found that Evelyn was calling me. After that incident Evelyn didn't tried to contact me. So without any further delay i quickly picked the call.
