"Sam, I swear to god, I'm going to fight you if you ever think of going in to speak to someone that dangerous alone again," you hissed, pulling him into your arms, hugging him tight, like you were scared you might lose him if you let him go again.

"I'm fine, and things were going fine, until Walker decided to stick his nose where it didn't need to be. Nearly had her talked down before he showed up," Sam said, squeezing you, letting you know he was still there, that he wasn't going anywhere.

You pulled away, cocking a brow. "Sam, I know you're good at what you do, but you can't just run into these kind of situations without backup. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."

"Baby, I was fine. You all were just in the next room if things went south."

"But what if things went south too fast? What if she killed you before we got to you? I couldn't live with that, knowing that I could've done more."

He cupped your face in his large hands, pulling you in for a soft, tender kiss before mumbling against your lips, "Let's not think about what could've happened anymore. Let's move forward, we still got a job to do."

The sound of clapping interrupted the moment, Sam pulling away to look over your shoulder. He rolled his eyes, before pulling your head back into his chest.

"What're you clapping for?" Sam asked.

"You two are the closest thing I have to a television," Bucky said.

Your head whipped around to look at him, your mouth falling open. "You don't have a TV? Even grandpas have TVs!"

"Well, I had a television, but I threw it out when that bastard was on it the other day."

"The bastard?" you repeated.

"Think he's talking about Walker," Sam said.

"Oh. Fair. Say, when do we get to kick his ass? I'm sick of having to deal with his bullshit."

Bucky snorted. "He'd probably be safer facing off a pack of wolves than dealing with us."

"So, is that a yes on beating the shit out of him?"
