You open your eyes and hear a sound coming from somewhere near your wall. You get up, open your door and walk out.
The hallway was dark and barren. You keep walking until you get close enough to the sound. Someone was crying. You flick the lights on and you see Sabine, sniffling and crying over a cup of water.
"Sabine?... Are you okay?" I asked.
"No, leave me alone!" Sabine shouted before pushing past you and running away.
She ran to her room and you followed her. The door was about to slide close and stood in the middle of it.
"No! I don't want you to see me like this!" She protested.
"I don't care." You assured her
. "I'm a mess, I've lost everything! The Empire captured my father, my mother disowned me and my clan abandoned me." She cried. "this is just a rough patch in your story, it's just temporary." You explained. "I don't have a home to go to anymore and it's all my fault. I let them down. They're right to disown me. I'm not good enough." She admitted. "Shut up." You snapped. "What?" She responded. "I said shut up. Your talking crazy. You're too skilled to feel this bad about yourself. You're clever, artistically talented, and brave, almost to the point where it seems like your not scared of anything. The art you make is just a show of how beautiful your heart is." You declared. Sabine smiled. "See, you know how great you are. Your funny, strong, brave, and pretty." You stated. You look at her face and how close you two are. You look at her lips and then her eyes and you kiss her. You pull back and looked at her shocked face. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking and-" "Shut up." Sabine said. "What?" You asked. She grabbed you by the collar looked into your eyes and kissed you.
