You were helping Diluc clean up angel's share after a long day of people coming in. Diluc was putting away glasses while you were cleaning the counter and tables. You and Diluc met a few years back.

You were sitting on your bed reading a book. Your maid Margret knocked on the door.

Maid Margret- Miss Y/n?

Y/n- Come in.

She opened the door, she had some clothes in her hands. She walked over to your dresser and started putting clothes away.

Maid Margret- Your Father would like to have a word with you.

You sigh and exit the room walking down to the throne room to greet your father. He was a busy man and never had any time for you. So you would just stay in your room a lot and read books.

You walk into the throne room and bow down as you greet your father. He nods his head signing that you have permission to be seated. You walk over to your throne and sit down.

Just as your father is about to speak the butler Sebastian comes in.

Butler Sebastian- I'm sorry to bother you, But Queen Estrelleia needs your assistance.

Your Father gets up and heads to his bedroom. Your Mother has been sick and your Father was needing to take care of her.

Butler Sebastian- Is there anything I get you, Miss Y/n?

Y/n- No thank you Sebastian.

He nods his head and walks off. A few minutes later your Father comes back.

King Dominic- Sorry about that Y/n.

Y/n- Its okay. Anyways what did you want to discuss?

King Dominic- Well Since your mother is sick. We think its about time that she steps down. Meaning I will be stepping down as well.

Y/n- Wait What!? You want me to be queen? But I don't even have a lover. Their will be no king.

King Dominic- Well that is why you will be marrying him.

A tall young man with blonde hair and gray eyes. Walks in.

Y/n- Dad! I have told you I'm not marrying some random person!

Lucas- Y/n, How could say something like that? I'm your friend.

Y/n- Yes but, I'm not in love with you.

You ran to your room laid on your bed staring at the wall.

King Dominic- Y/N! COME BACK HERE!

You could hear your father screaming to come back down. You were tired of always being told how to be proper. You never wanted to be a queen. You wanted to be an adventurer. You wanted to explore this world! Fight Slimes and Hilichurls! Not rule over some kingdom.

Y/n's thoughts

That settles it tonight I'm leaving this stupid kingdom.

After your parents went to bed you snuck out of your room and into the kitchen. You grabbed some food and water. As you were looking for your favorite snack Butler Sebastian comes into the kitchen.

Butler Sebastian- Miss Y/n? What are you doing?

Y/n- Please don't tell my father, but I'm going.

Butler Sebastian- Going? Going where?

Y/n- You know why. I don't want to rule over this kingdom I want to-

Butler Sebastian- I know I know you want to be an adventurer! Don't worry I wont tell him. If he notices you gone he will send nights to go looking for you.
