As far as days go the start to this one seemed pretty normal. Wake up, get ready, avoid May's emotionless gaze on my way out the door, and walk to school.

Except today in home room our teacher announced that we were going on a field trip to Stark Industries. The Stark INDUSTRIES! What if we get to meet Tony Stark, or- or- Bruce Banner! That'd be like a dream come true! Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder bring me out of my thoughts and turned around to see my best friend Ned looking at me with stars in his eyes.

"Dude, we could meet the Avengers while we're there!"

"I know!"

"Now, now class." Mr. Hawkenberry said, desperately trying to reel in the class without shouting. "I understand this is exciting for all of you but please settle down."

"HEY NERDS, SHUT. UP!"

"Thank you M.J, although you could've been a bit nicer.."

M.J only shrugged in response and went back to reading her book. As the class settled down Mr. Hawkenberry started to read over the information on the permission slip.

"We will be going to Stark Industries for the majority of the day so if you normally bring a lunch to school the be sure to bring it on the bus. If you don't the school will provide lunches on the trip but be sure to check the box regarding that information on the slip. You must have your permission slip signed by a parent or guardian in order to go. This is very important and I cannot stress this enough, you cannot go if you do not have this signed at least a day before. Do you understand?"

A weak mumble of "yes sir" and "understood" could be heard from the students in the room.

"Your parents must also sign a waiver in order for you to go. Don't wanna get sued if one of y'all gets hurt there, ya'know?"

This got a few chuckles and nods of agreement out of the class. The teacher smiled at this.
