Four months was all it took for everything they ever had to fall apart. All those nights they spent together, all those afternoons they enjoyed, those morning they relished in the sunlight; it all had been broken in an instant by the insecurity that seeped from deep within. Those feelings of worry and doubt were their downfall—it was their relationship's near demise.

"What? You're talking as if I forced you into this." She snapped, pushing him away with enough force to create a large gap between their bodies.

The room was hot, muggy from their ragged breaths and angry words. The tension was thick within these four walls, making them feel the heat more than they should have. With the rising tension, their emotions grew more and more expressive.

"Is that not what happened? You think I wanted to do this fucking shit?" Rin growled as he ran a hand through his hair, seething as he had never done before. It wasn't like him to be this angry at anyone other than annoying small fries who pissed him off, but for some reason, he couldn't seem to stop himself from getting angry at her. No matter what she did, his fury did not quell.

She let out a shaky laugh of utter disbelief. "I did this for you. I was only ever trying to help you out, yet you're pinning the blame on me like I coerced you into this entire thing. I can't believe you." The girl shook her head at him.

"There you go spewing bullshit again. Help me? You didn't help me. You only made things a thousand times worse with your fucking meddling. You should have just let me be instead of being a fucking nuisance." The raven haired male shouted, pointing a finger at the girl who went stiff at his words.

With a small chuckle, she glanced up at him through her reddening eyes that were growing glassy. She blinked furiously, shaking away the feeling in her chest.

"You know what?" She folded her hands together by her waist and sighed in defeat. "Maybe I should've left you alone."

"Guess I'm sorry for being such a bother then." As she turned away, he could feel the needles stabbing every inch of his skin. He grew uncomfortable at the sight of her back, slowly getting farther from him as she left him all alone in the room they had shared one too many memories in.

His throat grew dry and hoarse as his mouth fell open and he tried to say something. Nothing dared to spill from his lips; venomous pride ran deep within his veins, holding him captive in a small cage of suppressed emotions.

He knew that if he said nothing that he would lose her, lose everything he had built with her. But he stayed rooted in his spot. The silence was growing unbearable once the door shut and he was alone with himself.

Sitting down on the floor with his back up against the wall, Rin scoffed and held his head in his hands. "I thought you said you'd never leave me, huh?"

To understand what happened here on this fateful day in September, we have to go back four months to early May when things had just began for the two high school students who had nothing to do with one another.
