"Does he know...?" Areum muttered as she prepares for the day, picking outfits to bring.
Areum would say that it's impossible but the fact that Wonwoo made her heart flutter on her 4th day in the company is slightly at the risk of being found out after years of working with the same person.
Areum was thankful that she can be professional anytime. She thanked her father for that trait.
Meanwhile, Seventeen was already at the company for another round of practices.
"Hoshi, what happened with you and Areum yesterday?" Wonwoo asked as soon as he comes in the practice room
Wonwoo didn't get to ask yesterday because they were busy recapping a lot of their choreography and Areum seemed too distraught while practicing, almost signaling Wonwoo to not talk about it.
It might have been trivial but future Player 2's behavior yesterday worried him.
"Oh, that?" Hoshi nervously chuckled and became serious right after. "I don't get why she's so pessimistic. She's one of the greatest and fastest to learn among the trainee backup dancers back then. Until now, the backup dancers praise her with how good of a dancer she is."
"So... what's the problem?" Wonwoo asked.
"We decided that she choreograph a dance on her own." Wonwoo was baffled.
Why was he baffled?
Wonwoo and Areum have been talking about a lot of things. They have a lot of similarities with each other and even if she doesn't talk about it, Wonwoo knows she can't help but rely on Bona and Jinseok to be with her at every performance. They were inseparable.
"You sure? I mean, yeah she's great but..." Wonwoo started but trails off.
"... but what?" Hoshi was confused about Wonwoo's sudden disagreement.
"Never mind. I think that's great for her." Wonwoo suddenly changes his view and agreed, making Hoshi grin.
"Right? She's so great and sadly... she doesn't see it."
Meanwhile at the other practice room, Bona was on the floor, stretching while Areum sits beside her, reading.
"I know that I'm good..." Areum suddenly mumbles out as Bona continues doing her thing.
"Exactly! Where is that confidence hiding in the first place that you can't seem to dig it out?" Bona asks the now sullen looking younger girl.
"It's not that."
Areum then explained how she was doing a lot for her family back at home. Everything she does outside of her home is for them, too.
She leaves out her streaming because that's the point.
She wants to focus on her job as a backup dancer and not have conversations about her streaming endeavors. They might be watching her but at least they don't know it was actually Jeon Areum.
Besides, they couldn't imagine her doing that particular of a job since she brings at least 3 books with her.
It wasn't always her mom and dad who funded her training. She had to juggle both part time jobs and college, which made her weaker but she still managed.
They had to borrow money from a lot of relatives to come by. Areum guesses that they just feel pitiful due to the fact that they forced 4 children into her family because she's an only child.
"How's your choreography going?" Areum finally asks.
"Pretty smooth. I'm going to change some per the teachers and the members' request, and then I'm done." Bona replied.
