The rain pours down onto the concrete as Sadie walks home from school. Her first day had been a bust and she couldn't bring herself to make herself known to anyone but those who already knew her from middle school, she was happy to see some of her old friends again but everyone else who knew her from bullying her was the thoughts going through her head. Their words banging through her skull. She can't help but repeat their words out loud to herself as she keeps walking, but suddenly her thoughts are interrupted when she bangs her head into a stop sign, she falls to the wet hard ground in pain, looking up to see what hit her. In rage she kicks the stop sign and gets back up to her feet. "Stupid stop sign! Go fracture someone else's neck while your at it!". Reaching the hotel she pushes the door open leading her inside. "Hello miss Sadie! How was your first day?" One of The ladies at the reception asked her as she walked past. "Awful.." she replys in a cold tone, her head still in pain from the stop sign. She walks up the stairs and pulls out the keys to her room from her bag. Unlocking it she opens the door to her room and turns on the lights. She sets her bag down on a chair and collapses onto her bed happy the school day is finally over. Her sighs of relief are replaced however by sighs of annoyance when her gaze meet her calendar, she suddenly remembers she still has School for a whole year and not just one day. How could she have forgotten?.. did the world really want to punish her that much as to make her forget?. She shakes it off and takes off her jacket, still soaked from the rain and throws it onto the floor. "This day can't possibly get any worse.." She says to herself annoyed. She hears a knock at her door. She turns to the door alarmed, thinking she jinxed this onto herself. Impatient as the knocking continues after a few minutes she decides to just get it over with. She drags her legs across the floor to the other side and opens it. Her skin untenses when she recognizes the hotel manager. He can tell she was alarmed by her movement from opening the door. "Sorry if I was interrupting something here Sadie but we need to talk your living situation."What do you mean by that? What ever happened to the contract?!" Sadie asks him confused. "Well, yes but the contract says your parents could stop paying at any time," He answers. " But what am I supposed to do?!" Sadie asks.He continued. " If your going to stay here your going to need good grades at the end of the semester, otherwise you'll have to leave.."  Sadie is quiet at his words, a million thoughts pulse through her head. Why would her parents do this?! Do they really hate her that much?! Or is this some stupid way of them trying to get her to come home? But why? They wanted her to go high school, she didn't even want to go!. "Yes sir..." she stutters back to him. He nods in response, "Good, have a good night Sadie.." He says as he walks off. She shuts the door behind her and slides down against it. She places her hands against her head to collect her thoughts. She scrolls through her phone until she finds her mom's number, her mind ponders at the Managers words. What were they up to? Why would they stop paying? She scrolls past the number and continues to go through her contacts. She scrolls past the numbers of all her old friends, the memories she had with them. It pained her badly knowing she wouldn't get to have those memories anymore. She reaches her Dad's number now, she couldn't help but feel agitated. She didn't want to see them. Not right now anyways, she figured she'd talk to them about this whole mess when she's able to come home for spring break. Months away from them should be able to help her get over it. She switches to her calendar app to check off a date for when spring would happen. She knows she doesn't have any homework to do for the first day of school so what was the point in staying awake?. She could feel her stomach growl but she gives in to the exhaustion anyway. Her eyes close as she drifts off to sleep. Woken up she looks to the ceiling, not wanting to get up. "Sadie come on, we don't have all day.." she looks over to the creature. Ears and antlers like a deer, The Tail of a devil, and the suit of a bachelor. Her red hair putting it all together. "Clara?.. is that you?" Sadie asks ejests her eyes. "No I'm the Easter bunny.." she says in a sarcastic remark. She rolls her eyes in annoyance and she looks back at her. "No I'm pretty sure your Clara" " Of course I am!" Clara interrupts her. "Sorry sorry.." Sadie says sadly, she gets up catching herself. "I take it you had a rough day?" The she-demon asks curiously levitating on her side with a smile. Sadie just nods. The demons smile fades from her face as she watches her. "Why don't I see what we're working with tomorrow" she states.
