(Francis Scott) Chapter 7: Set that aside

It has been 3 days since the game has started, and the school is quiet and empty. I am working with Kyla Brood since we met, and...

"I told you, we need to recruit Louis!"

"We can't! Not that scum!"

...And, we have gotten closer than usual, and just a few minutes ago we met Louis at the café alone. Kyla insisted to recruit Louis, but I won't work with him, if I don't want to, then he also feels the same way. 

"It would be easier if we could just recruit him!" her mouth is just so annoying

"No, our work is for us to also learn how to solve this case!"

"Would rather defeat him or learn something you won't need?"

"..." I stopped walking, that question somehow has a point, but, if I listen to what I want, then the answer would be different. It's either learn something I don't want to do or to defeat him fair and square?

"Just be yourself and you'll be okay, doubting is easy, everyone can do that."

"I...I do want to defeat him."

"Then, if were talking about your goal, you must recruit him now, you might see his weaknesses." she crossed her arms and began talking about the how good it would be if we will recruit Louis.

"I agree  to your idea but, will he accept us?"

"..." her smile faded and said "How could I forget one simple thing?" she plopped on the pavements and sighed.

"Hey, cheer up, we might be able to convince him." I reached out my hand

"He has an IQ of 152! How will be able to convince that hard headed guy?"

"We might find some way, here, stand up, you look like an beggar." 

"Instead of helping me, you're hurting me Francis." she frowned and stood up

"So what's the plan?" I asked her

"I dunno" she wiped her skirt off

"Hey, you said you would help me!"

"I did say that, I just don't know what to do next."

"Come on! I thought you're reliable."

"Just wait okay?! I am thinking for other solutions." she put her hand on her head and sighed. I waited for her to speak, and suddenly she snapped her fingers.

"Plan A is to find Louis and convince him to join, Plan B, if Louis will refuse us, then we will start working on the case."

"Okay, I get it, let's get working." and so we walked and searched for Louis.

(Louis Hawks' point of view)

I'm tired, how should I keep this going? I want to take a rest, my eyes my body.....I want to sleep for a very long time. I can still remember the first and last day I was happy, that is, exactly 12 years ago. Why? Why is this happening to me? Am I this weak to finally give up? 

Will no one ever notice? The suffering I've been through? ------

"Louis! Wake up!"

I can hear someone calling my name, who?

"Wake up you scumbag!"

"He said wake up Mr. Sleepyhead."

Francis? And a girl?

"Leave me alone."

"Hurry up! You'll catch cold!"

! That line, seems a bit familiar, who said that first to me? ----

"If you don't want to move then don't, do whatever you want, and we'll wait for you."

"Why would you do that?" I wrapped my arms on my head

"I am asking you to join and help us uncover the case of William Tolkien."

"No one needs me."

"When will you change idiot?! Do you think you're the only one who suffered? Do you think you're the only one who tries to do everything to satisfy their expectations?"

Patter Patter Patter......it started to rain

Both of us became quiet...then he stood up

"You want to give up don't you?"

"...."

"Set all your worries aside, and analyze why you're here in the first place."

"We'll move on together." I reached out my hand, and looked at his inconsolable face. He looked down on his feet.

I finally saw my rival's weak side, as I smiled, I reached out my hand

He touched my hand, and said: "I agree with both of you."
