Emma's pov
"I feel like trash" I thought to myself while walking through the street in East. Today on my eighteenth birthday I have to travel to the center of the border to meet the other three princes and princess. "They're probably gonna be super dorky" I thought while I smiled and waved at a bypassing citizen.
My father and the other kings had arranged the meeting without asking us first. Of course I would have said no if he had asked but that's not the point. The point is I'm going to meet some people I don't wanna meet. I'm only gonna do this for my dad. Every since he learned the truth about how East started the war he has always been sad, I haven't even known him at a time he was happy. So if I don't screw this up and all four directions can come together he would be happy, and I wanna see him happy.
"Hi" I said to one of the maids on the way to my room. I had to get ready to meet the other "special kids" so I pulled on my dress and got my hair done.
My mom and dad kissed me on the chin and helped me on my horse. I could still see them waving three hundred meters away and yelled "I'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW"
Nicolas' pov
I woke up that day feeling excited. I put some clothes on and ran downstairs to my waiting presents. My mom and dad wished me happy birthday and opened them all in a hurry. "You got me a SWORD that's the best present ever" I said even though they promised they would give me one on my eighteenth birthday. "Are you excited about today?" My mother asked and there we're only one answer to that "YES" I shouted.
I really wanted to meet the other kids. What power did they have? Apparently the other directions can't know or they could try to steal us if they like our powers. I got up to my room and changed into proper clothes.
My mom and dad waved at me when I sailed my boat to the center border.
