There he was

There he was. His beautiful self sitting just a few tables away. Large doe eyes glowing in utter awe as he spoke with the guy he was with.

The same one who kissed his pretty, kissable lips.

He was smiling, looking at him as if he was his everything.

Was he him?

The one he speaks about in his writing. The man who makes him so confused about his love for him. Was he him?

I don't know.

I hope not.

Yet how can I when I see him sitting there? Black trench coat to the side as he drinks some coke (Pepsi, they never have coke at restaurants) large eyes looking up every once in a while to look around.

Then the guy he sits with moves towards him and he places a small peck on his lips.

I grip my fork and I look away and back at Lauren and Olivia. They both wear nice expensive dresses as they eat their dinner, talking about makeup and guys like they have done in the last years.

After my parents passed away, Olivia had moved in with me. My aunt didn't want to take care of another child because she already had five so I was stuck with her at the age of twenty.

Olivia and I have never really been close, we do live in the same home. I would give her everything she needed, money for her necessities and her monthly allowance, but that was it. We were connected by relationship, but never emotionally.

If I'm honest, Olivia never really liked Lauren. When I had first started going out with the woman, she would simply beg me to not be with her. And being the brother I am, I ignored her pleads.

Yet, I would constantly check Lauren's behavior whenever we were around her. I had set up the camera in the hallways so that I would know if something happened, I would see how they acted when they were around each other to see why Olivia would hate Lauren so much. The cameras are still a secret to them, only I know of them. And after wondering for so long, I gave up because I could never find the actual reason why Olivia hated her so much.

By the sixth year, Olivia had calmed down. I guess that she understood that we wouldn't be leaving each other any time soon.

It was almost ten minutes later when I see him stand up from his seat, whispering something and excusing himself to go to the bathroom. I look at both of the women in front of me.

"I need to use the bathroom, excuse me," I say and I stand up as well. Following him, I find him standing in front of a urinal. Unzipping his pants and I walk to one as well, ignoring him as I unzip my pants.

There is a brief silence between us. The sound of the pee hitting the porcelain rough surface.

He looks at me, finally, when we are washing our hands. He stops and I stop, both staring into each other's eyes. Clearing my throat I look away.
