Leonardo's P.O.V

Hi guys, thank you so much for your patience. I finally managed to upload the latest installment. I hope that you all will enjoy reading it. Hopefully, I can post the next chapter this weekend. Leave a comment and stay safe, my friends.

Brian and his wife looked in shock at me when I approached them. The woman clutched her child in fear when she heard me say, "Give me the child." Cash put his hand on the woman's shoulder, then uttered, "Leonardo is a world-renowned surgeon, Rebecca. You are wasting time. Give Sadie to him. He'll save her." I quickly grabbed the child, then put her face down on my forearm. Brian and Rebecca prayed while I performed the necessary procedure to save the child. They sighed in relief when the child coughed out the grape. I looked at Cash, then said to him, "Can you grab my medical bag, Cash. It's in the trunk of my car."

Cash nodded, then went to grab the key from my jacket's pocket. The child wouldn't stop crying. I handed her back to her mother. So she could calm her down. Cash led everyone to the living when he came back. I grabbed the necessary tools that I needed to check the child's throat out of my bag. Cash looked intently at me while I examined the child. Sadie hadn't suffered any injury. Her parents were lucky that I was around that night. The closest hospital from where Cash lived was a half-hour away. The child fell asleep after the examination.

I chuckled when I heard Rebecca say, "Thank you so much for saving Sadie, doctor. Who knows what would have happened if you weren't here. We don't have much money, but we would still like to pay you for your services." Cash sighed, then stated, "It's Leonardo's job to save people, Rebecca. He won't accept your money. He is a Malachi. Leonardo is the owner of the most famous hospital in the country." Brian and Rebecca stood up in shock. I pinched Cash's cheek, then said to him, "You made me feel all mushy inside just now, Cash. Please, praise me more."

Cash hit my hand away, then asked me, "Wouldn't you like to say something to Brian and Rebecca before they leave, Leonardo?" I nodded, then grabbed my card out of my medical bag. I handed the card to Brian, then uttered, "Sadie is fine, but I advise you to take her to a pediatrician tomorrow. They can call me if they have any questions about the incident." Brian smiled, then stated before leaving with his family, "I'm a cop, sir. I won't forget what you did for us tonight. You can contact me whenever you need help with something. Cash has my number. Please get it from him before you leave." I sighed while taking off my gloves. Cash hugged me from behind, then said, "You are probably tired now, Leonardo. Let's call it a night. We'll continue our love-making session another time."

I turned around to face Cash. I smirked at Cash, then responded to him with, "Are you crazy, Cash? I'm having an adrenaline rush right now. I need to get the excess energy out of my system." I pulled Cash closer to me, then kissed him intensely. Cash chuckled, then stated, "It seems like I hit the jackpot, Leonardo." Cash grabbed my hand, then dragged me upstairs. I whistled while looking around Cash's room.

Cash chuckled, then declared, "My aunt owns a cleaning business. She comes by once a week to clean the house. I'm never around, so it doesn't get messy much." I walked into the bathroom to wash my hands. I leaned against the door, then gazed at Cash when I returned. Cash was lighting a candle. He had already prepared the things that we needed to have sex. I put my hands in my pockets, then uttered, "You are full of surprises, Cash." Cash frowned, then asked me, "What do you mean, Leonardo." I walked up to Cash, then said to him while hugging him, "I didn't expect you to be this romantic, Cash. I can still remember how you gave everyone a death stare in high school." Cash cupped my face, then responded to me with, "I didn't want any fake friends, Leonardo. So I made sure that people stayed away from me. I bet that the same people who adored me would run away if I told them what my father did for a living."
