-oh cursing warning. A little gore warning and well blood warning-The Daughters POV: Castle
It's a windy afternoon and the sun is setting. Bela and Cassandra are pacing around in the main hall, while Daniela is nose deep in a book. "Ugh I'm sooo bored, I crave entertainment" Cassandra says falling onto the sofa and throwing her hands into the air. "As am I" adds Bela who is slouching in a chair opposite of Cassandra, fiddling with her sickle "Its been to long since I last cut into fresh meat" Cassandra sighs and says "My throat it's so dry." Cassandra Closes her eyes for a moment before jolting back up declaring"I know!" She then jumps off the sofa "I say we go on a hunt tonight, it's the last full moon before winter sets in, and full moons always bring out naïve mortals who decide to wander to far into the woods" Bela stands up from her chair in excitement and moves closer to her sister "that's a wonderful idea, I love a good chase".Bela and Cassandra both let out little giggles before morphing into their signature swarms of flies and start making their way to the front gate. the two didn't even have a chance to open the doors that lead into the hallway when another voice chimed in from the the sitting area. "Mother told us not to leave the castle tonight, she said that tonight is when the snow will begin to fall for the winter." Daniela looks over the pages of her book to be met with her sisters looks of annoyance. Bela rolled her eyes and scoffed "Daniela always ruining the mood. We would be so quick Mother wouldn't even know we left" Cassandra shakes her head in agreement and adds "Besides Mother would want us to enjoy one last hunt before we are confounded to the castle for the winter, don't be such a stick in the mud." Daniela sighs and puts her book on the table. "I'm just as thirsty as you are but I for one respect mother's warnings". "Fine stay here and miss out on all the fun."Bela said before turning and disappearing into her fly swarm "I on the other hand, am going to enjoy myself.". Cassandra stuck out her tongue at Daniela then followed close behind Bela. Daniela got out of her chair and proceeded to follow her sisters mumbling under her breath "Very well, if mother gets angry I'm going to say I told you so". With that the swarm of insects glided though the castle hallways, bursting through the front gates into the woods while the sun set beside them.
-Almas POV: The Woods
"Damn was that the same tree trunk I passed 20 minuets ago? Fuck man, I'm so turned around" Alma let out a sigh and glanced around her. She then moved to sit down on the nearest rock in order to check the map a local girl had given her back at the village she passed though mere hours ago. Alma had been trekking through this part of Romania for just about a week when earlier that morning she found herself in a secluded village that looked like it was stuck in time. She wasn't looking to stay in the village for to long due to the fact that most everyone she came across ignored her completely and that the people overall just gave her a bad vibe. Even with the village full of grumpy old people, Alma did in fact come across a young woman named Elena, she was a nice girl that offered Alma some extra food and spot to sit and rest for a while. Alma enjoyed chatting with Elena, and she made sure to thank Elena for the food and shelter. Elena said she was just glad to meet someone who wasn't from the village. As the afternoon dragged on Alma planned to continue her trek and camp in the woods overnight but Elena warned against it, proclaiming that monsters lived in the woods and that they came to steal away anyone who stayed out past sunset. Alma assured Elena that she could handle herself and that she shouldn't believe in most ghost stories or fairytales . Ignoring Almas disbelief in her words Elena insisted that Alma stay with her and her father for the night but She was ultimately unable to convince Alma. Instead she reluctantly ended up gifting Alma with a map of the forest paths and a little wooden carving in the shape of a goat meant for good fortune and protection from evil spirits. Not long after that,Alma thanked Elena for the help said her goodbyes and parted ways. It was only a few hours till sundown but Alma was confident that she could make a decent amount ground before she had to set up a camp. As she came upon the outskirts of the village she noticed a group of men who were armed with farming tools and a cart full of barrels that was pulled by one shabby looking mule. She didn't really know or care what the men were up to but one thing that did catch her ear was a man loudly proclaimed that "Tonight's the night we finally take down those witches, I can feel it, the moon is full and the wind is blowing colder. Not only that but we have out secret weapon, they don't stand a chance!" Alma didn't really get what the man was going on about and decided to just ignore him and carry on about her business.
Hours had passed since Alma had left the village and she found herself going in circles in the woods. As the sun began to set Alma kicked herself for not taking Elena up on her offer while she consulted her map. She was unaware what the night would bring.
