The birth of the future king

Simba's p.o.v

I tried to stay still but I couldn't, what if something went wrong? What if our cub was stillborn? What if they where twins... I didnt want what happened to mufasa and scar to happend to my kids. Then there was the biggest worry what about nala, would she be ok? Would I be a good parent? My thoughts were interrupted by Sarabi, "Simba, the cub is born!! Its a boy!" I got up and nearly ran into the cave. 

"Nala?! are you ok?" I asked worried "yes simba i am okay" Whispered nala her voice weak. "He is beautiful he looks a bit like you" I looked down at our son, Nala was right he was beautiful. 

"So have you thought of a name?" Asked Rafiki. Nala looked down at our cub. "yes, his name shall be Kopa" She replied. I nodded it was a beautiful name for a beautiful cub. 

3 days later

Rafiki entered our den. "Everyone is ready your magesties" said zazu "Oh and here comes Rafiki" I smiled, I hoped the pridelanders took to kopa. Sarabi came running up to me. "The lionesses have got the feast ready" Said Sarabi smiling. "Now I want to watch my grandsons presentation."

Sarabi became the leader of the hunting party while nala was away. Sarafina babysat Kopa when Nala needed a rest, although sarabi did her fair shair to. 

I went to stand next to nala while Rafiki took kopa and put red paint on his head and sprinkled dust on his head. Then he raised Kopa and all the animals jumped in joy. Nala smiled at me and I smiled back. 

A few weeks later

Kopa p.o.v

I ran over to my dad. I nudged him, "Dad wake up" he didnt budge although a few lionesses groaned. "DDDAAADDDD WAKE UP!" I Shouted pulling his ear, this time he woke up as well as a few other lionesses sleeping close to us. "wah kopa its" he yawned "so earrlyyy" he yawned again.  "Dad you pwomisied you would show me the kindum" I said doing puppy eyes.

"Ugg fine, only becase i probbaly wouldn't get back to sleep" Said dad. I knew that wasnt the case but I was too happy to care. I ran up to the top of pride rock. I panted hard while waiting for dad. Finally he caught up and we both sat on the top of pride rock.

"Kopa one day when I pass on you shall be king, you shall be in charge of the whole kingdom." My eyes opened super wide. "the hole kingum?" I asked "everybing?" Dad smiled. "Everything the light touches" he replied. "oh, but what about that place that is dark? isnt that part of our kingdum." I asked a bit confused about that place. "No never go there its not part of our kingdom and its very veryr dangerous, do you understand me??" My dad said "I love you very much I dont want you to get hurt" "But dad..? cant kings go anyware they want right?" My dad laughed "I used to think that but seriously no they can't go everywhere they want" He said seriously ""now go play"

1 month later

I ran off to the watering hole. There i met jua and mwezi they where twin brothers. In swahili it mean sun and moon

This is mwezi (moon)

"Kopa!!! Kopa!!" they called me over excited "Theres a new cub! It was abandoned but one of the mums adopted it!! They said the cub should be here soon!!" Jua said, out of the twins he talked more. "We told maua earlier she's having a bath."

"Ok what do you want to play?" I asked excited. "Hide and seek pin?" Said Jua. Mwezi and I nodded in agreement. "I'll be on" Said Jua. "1..2..3..4..5.." I ran as fast as I could looking for a place to hide. I saw some rocks and ran towards them.

I tripped amd fell down a hill and hit a cub. "Sorry... I di-" The cub interrupted me. He growled. "I was trying to sleep!" He hit me. I squeaked. He backed me up to a rock growling. "Stop! Im a prince! And it was an accident!!!!" He came closer an I saw him more clearly a dark brown.  He had a scar on his eye and leg. He looked like this

"Kopa?? whats happening?" Shouted mwezi giving away our position. "I dont know." I replied. "Get away from my territory" The cub growled. "Your territory?" I asked "Cubs dont have territorys" said Mwezi.  "well.. its my mums" Admitted the cub. "Bahati?? where are you?" Said a female lioness i didnt know. "OH there you are Bahati, see you made some friends" We all smiled and nodded. 

Jua jumped out of the clearing and jumped on mwezi "Pinned ya!"  He laughed. "Hey you must be bahti my mum told us about you" Bahati smiled. "Wanna play with us?" "Yeah! of course i do"

From then on, Jua,mwezi,bahati,maua and I were a inseparable quintet. (it means a group of 5)

Hope you liked it. Comment some ideas. Yes i know a lot of things are spelt wrong at the top. Thats because he cant pronounce words properly yet not me. I know its been kinda a short chapter, sorry its my first proper book.
