A Trip to New York

 Gabriel POV

"She just unknowingly offered you an unexpected opportunity." 

"It will be a lot easier to keep an eye on Adrien, Nathalie book a flight for New York by tomorrow," I said to her as she was already booking the flight. I sat down on the side of the bed and tickled her toes, she laughed and I smiled. I love it when she laughs. It makes me warm up like the sun shining down on me on a sunny day. Still laughing a bit she asks, "Can I come to please?" with puppy eyes. "No, not the puppy eyes!" I pretended, chuckling.                                          

 N- "But why can't I go?"

G- "You know why."

N- "But--"

G- "No."

She huffed and slumped back down. She thought that she was getting so much better, but every time she tried to walk her legs will be too weak to move. She needed more rest. It's not like she can't use a wheelchair or any other thing to help her walk while she recovered, but I was too worried about her, to take any chances. I didn't want what happened to Emily to happen to her.

Nathalie POV

Why couldn't he just let me go with him?! I wish I could have said this out loud to his face, but he was my boss. He went out of the room and told me to "get some rest." I was definitely not going to rest.  Then Duusu flew out of her hiding place.

D- "WOOHOO!"

N- "Duusu be a little quiet please."

D-  "I can't believe we are going to New York!"

N- "Not we, Gabriel is going to New York.

D- "Aww, but why?"

N- I think he thinks it's too dangerous in my condition."

D- "Awww, he likes you!"  

N- "No he doesn't, he's just worried that's all."

D- "Awww he worried about you. That's so romantic!"

I sighed and patted the little kwami's head. She shipped me and Gabriel so much, I had- and still do now, it's just I can not tell him that and I should not be feeling any emotion of love towards him. He was my boss and that was that.
