Y/N always got a little nervous when she went out with Patrick. Because he was a celebrity, a fan giving his girlfriend the stink eye was a common occurrence. She wasn't a celebrity herself, and she definitely didn't get as much attention as Patrick did. But, she had gotten used to it.

Y/N's friend from college was getting married; a small, non-traditional wedding with only family and closest friends. Y/N didn't have many "wedding appropriate" dresses, the ones she had were either too casual or too fancy. She asked Patrick to come to the mall with her because he had just gotten back from starring in a movie out of state. Y/N hadn't seen her boyfriend in a month and a half until the day before, and he was exhausted then. He didn't seem to be that happy when his girlfriend had woken him up that morning; she wanted to go ahead and get the dress before it got too busy.

Patrick went ahead and got his suit; he didn't want to wear anything too expensive, like the suits he had worn to movie premieres in the past. Even though all suits basically looked the same. After they got his suit, Patrick and Y/N headed to one of the department stores.

"Love that tank top," Y/N heard a voice as they walked, she turned around to see a woman sitting on a bench behind them. Y/N was actually caught off guard for a second, it was rare for her to get a compliment when she was dating a literal celebrity. She had stopped and turned around, her hand that held Patrick's involuntarily moved to her side. She watched the calm, taller woman sitting at the bench, her legs crossed.

"Thanks," Y/N answered, smiling softly. She looked down at the butterfly patterned top she wore; it was actually one of her favorites. The woman looked down at her phone, standing up from the bench. She glanced at Patrick; she didn't seem to recognize him but Patrick didn't really care. He didn't like how she was looking at Y/N.

"I'm Monica," she said, her eyes back on Y/N. Y/N glanced at Patrick, who didn't seem to be a big fan of Monica. She chuckled softly, placing her free hand back in Patrick's.

"I'm Y/N, this is my boyfriend Patrick." She felt Patrick's grip on her hand tighten the tiniest bit. If looks could kill, Y/N thought. She didn't know why Patrick was acting so strange around Monica; he knew that Y/N was loyal and strictly monogamous.

"Boyfriend, huh? Hm," Monica hummed, chuckling softly. She glanced at Patrick again, before walking up to Y/N and whispering something in her ear. Y/N felt her face heat up as Monica spoke, only nodding and seeing Monica smile at her reaction. Monica nodded back at Y/N and looked at Patrick.

"I gotta head to work... maybe I'll see you guys later," Monica said, smiling almost innocently as she walked off in the opposite direction. Y/N bit her bottom lip softly as she thought, slightly pulling Patrick's hand as she walked towards the department store.

"Come on," She said. Patrick was just happy to be away from Monica, he didn't really mind being dragged around.

After a few minutes of looking through dresses, Y/N looked at Patrick, who looked bored out of his mind. He was holding the suit he bought as it laid over his shoulder; two of his fingers effortlessly held onto the hanger. Y/N thought for a few moments, walking up to Patrick and getting his attention.

"Do you wanna run that suit home real quick?" She questioned. Patrick raised an eyebrow, almost confused by the suggestion.

"Why?" He responded, he didn't know if he was going crazy or not, but he felt as if- Y/N was trying to get him to leave.

"Well I mean, I'd think you'd get tired of holding that suit. And- I'll probably have a dress bought by the time you get back." Y/N explained herself; the fact she was lying made Patrick's stare even more intimidating.
"I know you don't really wanna be here-" She finished, chuckling softly. After a few moments of thinking, Patrick only nodded.
