You sighed as you watched the human girl you were supposed to protect climbed into the taxi.
So this was the new sacrificial bride, huh. She was quite pretty. Her blonde hair, pale skin, and pink eyes gave her a unique look.
One thing you immediately noticed was that she wasn't afraid of you. You knew that in this form, people normally had a twinge of fear when first appearing in your presence. She was either extremely brave or extremely stupid. You couldn't tell which one yet.
She gives you a small smile. "Oh, you must be (Y/n)," she says softly, placing her bag in the seat that separated the two of you.
You nod, giving her your hand paired with a friendly smile. "Yup, pleasure to meet you Miss Yui."
You held back a cringe as she touched you, saying something about how you didn't need to be so formal. You weren't really paying any attention to her.
Honestly, you despised this little job. It wasn't very often, but every now and then a promising young lady would come forward and that stupid vampire would give you the boring job of protecting them.
You didn't know why he kept insisting you do this damn job, it's not like you actually do it right.
Half the time, you just let them do whatever they want. It's pointless, really. All the girls end up dead eventually. What's so different about this time?
So now you were staring out the window, taking the familiar path up to the Sakamaki household.
You did miss those idiots though. You'd developed a slight friendship with them after the few times you'd stayed there. It took a while, but they eventually warmed up to you and you could hold conversations without one of them being all pissy.
The taxi soon stopped and you helped Yui get her luggage, yawning as you weren't used to being awake at this hour. Why the hell was this happened in the middle of the day exactly? Oh right, stupid human doesn't know shit yet.
Oh well, she will soon enough.
After some bullshit with Ayato, boring introductions, and running and screaming, everything calmed down and you went to sleep, using the last hours of daylight you had left before you went to school.

Shu was partially unaware of the events happening in the house. He didn't particularly care, and got slightly annoyed as he was continuously woken up.
He did feel a familiar presence though.. but before he could place it, sleep drifted back in.
Reiji was busy instructing Yui on the rules and after that, preparing breakfast since the sun was setting and shortly, everyone would be awake. No point in going back to sleep now.
He felt a little bad for not greeting (Y/n), but he figured by now it was alright. You didn't seem to be in the best mood.
Ayato was off somewhere being a little bitch, grumbling something about a pancake being his.
Kanato was in his room, talking to teddy about Yui and various other things. He probably wasn't asleep in the first place, considering the dark circles under his eyes.
Laito was in the shower, getting ready for school since apparently it's a long process.
Subaru didn't give a shit either way. They were too damn loud and too fucking annoying. He honestly couldn't care any less.
