Chapter 4

Breaking News:

K-pop singer Jeon Jungkook was recently seen in a fast food restaurant in Gangnam, hand-in-hand with a young woman. Her identity is yet to be revealed and it is being speculated that the said woman is his girlfriend. 

Whenever past dating rumors were addressed, the 'Still With You' singer had easily shut them down by saying that his sole focus was his career. But in the past few weeks, he had been spotted on several occasions with this mysterious woman.

No comments have been made by the singer yet, accompanied by the lack of updates on his social media accounts. Bighit Entertainment is yet to release an official statement on the matter.

"Seems like we've been caught Mr. Boyfriend", Hyejin spoke, looking up from her cellphone screen.

"And whose fault is it Ms. 'I'm gonna die without my cheeseburger ' ", Jungkook huffed, scrolling through his social media feed, while lying down beside her on her bed, in her childhood bedroom.

The Jeons had been invited by the Chois for a family lunch in order to plan and finalize matters regarding the upcoming wedding. After dating for almost three weeks, Jungkook and Hyejin had decided to tell their parents about their decision. They would have loved to date for a few months before taking such a step, but their parents had insisted on speeding-up the process since Jungkook's schedule was packed for the upcoming months, with promotional events and tours for his latest album. Things were getting hectic for Hyejin as well, since a meeting for all the board members had been scheduled in order to elect the next CEO and CFO. In addition to that, a lot of paperwork had to be completed before the announcement of JNB Group's investment in CS Corp.

"How about next Sunday? I've called a wedding planner from USA. She'll handle everything", Mrs. Jeon said as everyone sat down in the living room after lunch.

"I think we should organize a small wedding, inviting people from within our close-knit circle and then throw a party when everything is settled", Mr. Choi interjected.

"Yes. We don't want our competitors to find out about this until everything is finalized", added Mr. Jeon.

Their parents continued to talk among themselves while Jihyun and Eunji engaged into a conversation with Yeojun and Emily, Hyejin's older brother and his wife. Meanwhile Jungkook and Hyejin were getting bored, seemingly disinterested in their own wedding preparations.

"Baby can we go to the garden? I wanna show you something." Hyejin couldn't remember since when had Jungkook started addressing her with such endearing nicknames. Their chemistry had been so natural that even the people around them had noticed it.

Hyejin nodded her head and took a hold of Jungkook's hand to lead him to the garden, where they sat around the tea table on the patio.

"What do you want to show me Kook?" She asked with a small smile, genuinely curious about it.

"You see, I'm sad our marriage has been arranged by our parents and we never got the opportunity to date each other properly. But there is one thing that I've always dreamt of doing with my partner and I think this might be my last chance to do it."

Hyejin looked at him with a confused and slightly worried expression, not knowing where this conversation was heading.

"In these past few weeks of knowing you, I came to the realization that even though we did not meet in the most conventional way, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you.....if you say yes."

Opening a small black box Jungkook continued with a smile," So will you marry me Choi Hyejin?"

To say that she was shocked was an understatement. As a child she had always dreamt of meeting a Prince, who would get down on one knee and ask her hand in marriage, but after her break up with her long-term boyfriend she thought she would never get to experience that. It didn't matter to her that it was arranged marriage and that she had no choice but to say yes. All that mattered was Jungkook's heartfelt gesture, which made her heart flutter. It was touching and she was speechless .

"I know there is no point in doing this since we are getting married next week anyways, but I just-"

He was interrupted by a kiss. Hyejin was kissing him. Overwhelmed by his sweet gesture, she wanted nothing more than to kiss him. They had never initiated any sort of physical intimacy between them, beyond hugging or a peck on the cheek, until today.

Upon recovering from his initial shock, he kissed her back with the same fervor, his arms sliding down to her waist in an attempt to bring her body as close as possible. Her arms slid around his neck as he deepened the kiss, exploring the cavern of her mouth with his tongue.

He knew he was falling hard for this woman, and there was no going back.
