Mystery told me that Glory lived with Compromise the Pegasus in a mansion in the Evergreen Forest. They could fly there without being noticed. Even though if somebody saw me riding Mystery they would just see a girl on a horse, if they saw Glory riding Compromise in the sky they’d see a flying horse. The sad thing was, The Evergreen Forest wasn’t in my city of Dorin, it was in the city of Listerine. That’s in another country.
“Can’t you just teleport us?” I asked when we reached the water. “No.” “Freeze the water?” “No.” “Fly?” “No.” “Do anything?” “Give you money for a plane ticket.” “Alright, but can you bring me to the airport first?” “I already have.” I looked and I noticed the airport next to the ocean for the first time. Mystery created some cash and left me for her nice home in the card.
I went into the airport and looked around, wow! It was so crowded. I managed to haggle with the travel agent. I got a plane ticket to Listerine at 5:30 PM the next day. It cost me about 150 dollars in cash, Listerine was very far from Dorin. I went outside to breathe in the fresh air. It was very clammy in the airport.
I looked around for a spot to sleep, I had decided to sleep outside. I found a nice hidden, shady spot near the airport. It was a small ditch with a tree hanging above it. I laid down in the ditch and hoped that nobody saw me.
Luckily nobody did see me and I was able to freely wander around Dolin. It was different. No matter how many times I’ve walked, I’ve never walked it with money. I decided to stop in some random stores. I got a yellow bracelet at Circles, a thrift shop and I bought a snack called ‘popcorn’ at a gas station.
I was surprised at how quickly time went by. I had to run to the airport to get to my flight in time. I quickly checked in and boarded the plane. I had never rode on a plane before, and the thought of a plane crash made me queasy.
As we slowly rose up off the ground I got more and more queasy. I looked out the windows, the scene was magnificent. There were whit, fluffy clouds and peeking through them was the deep blue of the ocean, but seeing how far down it was made me even more queasy. I eventfully had to stop looking out the window. Somehow I managed not to throw up the whole ride, much to the lady on my left’s relief.
It took me a while to find my way to the baggage claim, all of the twists and turns in the building was very disorientating, and I was still queasy enough from the plane ride. I eventually got my baggage and made it out of the airport. I breathed in all of the fresh air when I got outside. It felt so good to be out of the stuffy city air. Listerine was beautiful. There were trees, hedges, and flowers everywhere! The air here was much cleaner than Dorin.
I found a quiet and secret place to summon Mystery. “Alright Mystery, we’re here. Now what?” “First you need to rent a room at the Green Tea Hotel, then go outside and summon me.” Mystery disappeared back in her card before I could ask for directions to the hotel. It turns out I didn’t need them. The hotel was right behind me.
