It was a nice day in the Kamado residence. Everybody was nice and calm, Tanjiro's mom cooking, Hanako was drawing with Shigero and Nezuko was taking care of Rokuta while Takeo and Tanjiro were cutting wood. Tanjiro and his family were human beings, but had seen many hybrids near their home. Most of the hybrids came in peace while the others demanded things. That's where Y/n comes in. Though Y/n was an Axolotl hybrid (:D), it didn't stop them from beating the living shit out of the other hybrids. You see, each house had at least one thing protecting it from danger. The Kamado family lucked out by getting a hybrid that was fairly nice.

Each day they would eat breakfast, clean, do their own things, and then sit for dinner. Sometimes things were weird, but it didn't stop the Kamado family from having fun in their days.

One day, Tanjiro and Y/n were called inside by Tanjiro's mom (cant remember her name ;-;).
When they had arrived inside, Tanjiro's mom had seemed a bit worried.

"I'm sorry to call you both in so suddenly, but were out of yen... Could you both perhaps go sell some coal? It's very early, so don't worry about hurrying." She said. Her hands were in her lap as she sat down to take a little brake.

"Alright, but ya gotta promise to make me arróz con leche (that shit is better than sugar cookies and you cant change my mind) tomorrow." Y/n said. He was honestly very hungry to have it again. Though he didn't know much about human customs, he did enjoy tasting the food.

"Yes, mother. I'll get ready right now!" Tanjiro said before hurrying off with Y/n.

The two had grabbed the filled coal baskets that were waiting to be sold tomorrow, but fate decided otherwise.

As the two had ventured off into the forest to get to the village, Tanjiro had rambled on about how he was excited for Y/n to bring some food from where they were from. Y/n had nodded along and sometimes explained what the food was and tasted like.

They had finally gotten to the village, only to be bombarded with praise and questions. As they walked deeper into town while selling along the way, a man had burst from a house and held a plate up to Tanjiro.

"TANJIRO! IM SO GLAD YOUR HERE! I'VE BEEN BLAMED FOR BREAKING A PLATE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A CAT!!" The man had then held the plate up to Tanjiro.

"PLEASE TELL ME IT WAS A CAT!" The man begged.

Tanjiro had bent down to sniff the plate.

"I smell a cat..."

"So it was a cat, huh?" A lady had stood barely outside the doorway said.

"SEE?! I TOLD YOU SO!"

And so, Y/n and Tanjiro had ventured on, coming across other hybrids and many travellers.

When they had gotten home....

Tanjiro's mother had thanked them. She then hurried off to go buy some ingredients with Nezuko and told Tanjiro to make sure Rokuta wasn't awake.

"Are you sure you'll be okay all by yourselves?"

"Yes mother/ Mrs. Kamado."

"Okay... Just make sure that the little ones are okay, and take care of yourselves!" His mom said before walking with Nezuko to go get the ingredients needed.

The day progressed with Y/n, Tanjiro, Takeo, Hanako and Shigero all messing around. Much laughter was heard in the house before Y/n had to go outside and protect the house of potential danger. It wasn't a pleasant job, considering that many wild beast came at night. Tanjiro's mom had came back with Nezuko, carrying bags of food. Not much food, since Y/n's job had gotten them tons of food. They surely did luck out.
