"Ugh!" You grunt, ramming your sword through an Orc's stomach. "There's too many." You breathe to Legolas. He sends you a quick smile. "You're a warrior, Y/N. A true warrior with a dozen Elves by your side. We can do this." He says. You slice down an Orc and turn back to Legolas. "Ah but you forget. If a warrior says this is too much...then it means it's too much." You grit out, whirling around and cutting down another Orc. "We have to fall back. We're losing Elves by the second." You say. "Are you sure? We could try a new tactic." Legolas suggests. "I'm sure. There's too many Orcs and too few of us Elves." You reply. You throw a dagger, pining an Orc to a tree. "I just don't understand one thing. They ambushed us. It's like they were waiting for us." You breathe. "They were waiting for you, Y/N." Legolas says, as he fires off an arrow. You stare at him and then duck as an Orc tries to whack your head off. You thrust your sword into his stomach and pull it out. "Legolas, pull them back!" You exclaim. "Dregad [fall back]!!" He yells. "Dregad!" He repeats. The remaining Elves rush back into Legolas, drawing him away from you. You cut down a few Orcs and prepare to retreat back. Suddenly a group of Orcs surround you. "Y/N!" Legolas screams desperately. You glance at him as he tries to break through the Elves who are pulling him backwards. "No! Stop, let go of me! Y/N needs us!" He screams panicked, his eyes wide with horror. Another small pack of Orcs rush at them, dragging the attention away from you. "Keep the king's son safe!" You shout to no one in particular. You look at the Orcs who're staring at you, their weapons lowered, and you realize they aren't going to kill you. An Orc quickly rams the butt of his sword into your head. You collapse to the floor, Legolas's screams being the last things you hear.~
You groan and slowly open your eyes, your cheek pressed against the cold stone floor. "Why can't we just have her head and be rid of her?" An Orc asks. "The master wants her for the war. She's some kind of warrior of some sort." Another replies. You groan and turn on your back, staring up at the moldy ceiling. "What? Does she give good sport?" An Orc asks excitedly. You blink a few times, straining to hear them as they make their way up a staircase. "He's going to turn her on to our side. We'll be unbeatable..." An Orc's voice trails off as they get too far out of your reach. You sit up on the dirty floor and let out a soft moan. You touch your head and pull away, blood sticking on to your fingers. You put a hand to the wall and shakily stand. "Oh..." You sigh, squeezing your eyes shut as your vision gets dizzy. You sway and grip on to the wall. You slowly open your eyes and walk forward. You grasp on to the dungeon door. "Oh, good, you're awake." An Orc says, walking into the room. You watch him as he comes to unlock the door. "I need you to come with me." He states. You clench your fist. He pulls the door open and you lunge for him. He falls to the floor and your sit on top of him, your knees on his chest. He lets out a squeal and you quickly punch him in the face. He groans, unconscious. You crawl off of him and run out of the room.
You quickly run up a stone staircase, making your escape. Once you reach the top, you're stop and stare at the two dozen Orcs staring at you in shock. "Uh, goodbye." You say, running down another hall. They start screaming and chasing after you. You scan the halls for something to use as a weapon, but find nothing. You look behind you and see twenty four angry Orcs chasing you. "Not good." You breathe. You turn back to see where you're going and ram into a massive Orc's chest. You fall backwards and he grabs your shoulders tightly. "Do you think you could get away?" He seethes. You struggle against him but he only squeezes you tighter. The rest of the Orcs catch up and the massive one looks to them. "You fools! You could've let her escape. Then the master would really kill you." He barks. He looks back to you and drags you back down the hallway, then down the staircase. He rips open the door and throws you into the dungeon. "Next time, have a better plan of escape." He growls. "Oh don't worry, I will." You state defiantly. He narrows his eyes and slams the cell door, before stalking out of the room. "I want four guards posted at her door, at all times!" He commands. "Ugh." You growl, sliding down the wall. You rest your head against the wall. "Legolas, please, come soon." You whisper.~
"Y/N..." Legolas whispers. "Y/N!" He whispers. You sniff and open your eyes. You rub the sleep out of your eyes and open your eyes wide. "Y/N!" Legolas whispers. "What?" You gasp quietly. You look above you and see a small window. You look to the sleeping Orcs and then look up at him. "You're here. You found me." You cry softly, relief flooding you. You stand on a rickety chair. Legolas reaches through the bars to hold your face. "I wasn't going to let the Orcs take you." He whispers. "How are you going to get me out?" You ask. Legolas looks at a six inch space between the bars and you roll your eyes. "I may be a warrior but I don't have a six inch body." You whisper, giggling. He smiles. "I know, I was looking at that space to see if I can fit in a sword through that." He whispers. You finger his face and grin. "Bless you." You breathe. He laughs quietly and unsheaths a sword. He slides it through the bars and you grab it. "Thank you." You murmur. "I've got a whole army of Elves coming. We're going to flank the place at dawn. Then you can make your escape." Legolas says. You nod. "We cannot fail, Legolas. They're going to take me to Barad Dûr. To him...the master. They want me to turn to their side." You whisper fearfully. "I'm not going to let that happen. I'm going to get you out and save you." He whispers. You smile. "I know." You whisper. "I'll be back, my love." Legolas says, smiling gently.~
As the sun slowly starts to make its way up into the sky, you caress your sword's blade, preparing to strike down the four Orcs who guard you. You hear a whiz of an arrow, signaling the attack. You grin and quickly kill the two Orcs guarding the cell. You wrench the keys off of the one before he falls to the ground. You quickly unlock the door and kill the other two. By now, shouts of Elves and Orcs surround you. You quickly make your way up the staircase. There you find Legolas, his hand resting on the hilt of his bloody sword casually. "What are you doing?" You ask, grinning. "You don't think I'd let you escape without any help now, would you?" He asks. You laugh. "Let's go." You say, running down a hallway. "How is it?" You ask. "A lot more Orcs that I would like to of hoped, but we're doing fine." He says. "Do you have my double daggers?" You ask. He quickly hands them over to you. "Double daggers, as you wish, m'lady." He says, a small smile on his lips. You grin and put them in their sheathes. "Ready?" He asks. You nod. "Ready." You breathe.
Legolas and you make your way out of the Orc outpost, slashing and killing the countless Orcs trying to hack you down. "This is nuts!" You exclaim as you near the exit. "They want you so bad, Y/N." Legolas says. You skid to a stop and grip your sword. "Uh, Legolas?" You say, voice shaking. He looks at you and then his gaze travels to where you're looking. "Oh..." He says, quietly. The massive Orc stands fifteen from you, a massive mace in his hands. "I've got him with my sword." You state. "I've got him with my arrows." Legolas breathes. "Then we've already won." You say, smirking. "Let's go." He whispers. You charge at the Orc, your sword poised, as Legolas shoots arrows at him. The Orc rushes at you and you quickly block his strike. His heavy, thick armor almost stops Legolas's arrows from piecing him. He takes three arrows to the stomach, but stills fights you. He whacks his mace down, barely missing you. You duck and roll across the floor. You crouch and bring your sword against his legs, sweeping his limbs out from underneath him. Legolas shoots him in the heart as your sword plunges into his stomach. "Let's go!" You yell, not even checking to see if the Orc is dead. Legolas and you both run to the exit.~
You sit on the edge of the bank, your feet dangling in the Forest River. "How many men did we lose?" You ask Legolas, who is silently making his way towards you. He sits on the ground next to you. "About twenty." He murmurs. "That's good considering all those Orcs." He adds. You nod and he wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close to him. "Thanks for rescuing me." You whisper, looking up at him, laying your head on his shoulder. He kisses your forehead and then lays his head on yours. "You're welcome. I'll always be here to rescue you, no matter what." He says softly. You close your eyes and breath in his earthly scent. "I know." You whisper.
