I'll add more later.
It was time for their senior trip. Plans had been made, the location approved by the school board, and they had been fundraising the whole school year, though some had made/donated more than others.
Marinette had drifted away from her peers, choosing to focus on herself for her last year of school. At first, it was going to be for a month to see if it improved her mood. But when she thought about it, she had done better alone than she did trying to get her friends out of the liar's grasp. With this, and trying to keep herself busy, she had created a growing brand, MDC, and had been clients since she told Jagged, who told the world immediately after. Each time she had made something and got an insane amount of money back, she had given ten percent of it towards her fundraiser money.
Getting out of her thoughts, Marinette had loaded her stuff onto the bus taking them to the airport. Putting on her backpack, she stepped into the bus, heading straight to the back of it. Seeing as she was the first one of her classmates to get on, it was empty, but it was slowly filling up.
The bus was moving fifteen minutes later. Her classmates were starting to talk, but they were progressively getting louder by the second. Rolling her eyes, she took some headphones out of her backpack, along with her phone, and blasted music to block out the voices. Sure, she got the excitement of being able to travel halfway across the world, but she didn't think they had to be out right yelling to the person that was right beside them.
'I just hope it isn't like this all week.' Marinette thought to herself.

Ten hours later, two to get through airport security and stuff, and an eight hour flight, they had finally managed to get to Gotham.
Marinette had managed to get through the flight without being beside her classmates. Maybe Tikki had granted her some luck. Either way, she was grateful.
Stepping out the plane, she went to go get her luggage, only to wince when she heard how loud her classmates were. Glancing back, she noticed they had stuck out like sore thumbs. Granted this place was dark and gloomy, her classmates screamed tourists. They were the main source of noise in the environment, and the way they had brightly dressed made it seem like they weren't from there.
Suddenly, she felt proud of herself for not dressing as brightly as she used to. Being the paranoid person she was, she just had to research Gotham and see just where they were going. Knowing that if she kept to herself, didn't cause any trouble, and if she wasn't anywhere near the place they called Crime Alley, she would be alright.
Taking her luggage, she put her things into the bus that was taking her and her class to the hotel they were staying at. When she was down, she turned around to see her classmates doing the same thing, though some were glaring at her, for whatever reason. Ignoring them, she went towards one of her teachers administering the trip.
"Puis-je aller aux toilettes ?"(Can I go to the bathroom?) Marinette asked Ms. Mendelev. After she nodded her head, Marinette turned around and went to go ask around for directions to the restroom. Thank the gods that her Uncle Jagged had encouraged her to add English to the list of languages she was learning to master.
"Bien sûr, je connais des gens ici dans les États d'Alya. Il y a quelqu'un de notre âge qui vit ici que vous connaissez. Il s'appelle Damian. Damian Wayne." (Of course I know people here in the states Alya. There's someone our age that lives here you know. His name is Damian. Damian Wayne.) Marinette heard Lila say as she was sent to one of the staff there. Marinette thought that she was lucky that she was speaking in French. She didn't think people would take too kindly to her speaking about someone who was known for his antisocial behavior.
