The Rise of Two Heroes

Chapter 2: The Volcano

The summer is short, Jason learned to ride a bike and Vangel learned how to speak some words like "mom", "dad", "hello", etc.

Jason was having a ride in the suburb, though his parents told him to don't go outside of their garden. There was a b2recciated road, where does it lead? Jason was curious, Vangel, who was in the ergonomic baby carrier, was very curious too. Jason followed the road for minutes and minutes, until they found a "big rock" blocking the road.
-What's that big rock? -Jason asked.
-Waa Mom? - Vangel said.
-What? That rock is not mom, I think I heard about it...Inactive v-vulcan, vocano or something, I don't remember -.

Jason put the bike down and went near the inactive volcano. It was so weird, something Vangel has never seen before. He touched the side, lauhing because his hand became dirty.
-Uh, someone must clean this place, ew, and your hand too -. Jason found a very small hole. He wanted to know "where does it lead?", but he isn't that tin, no one of his age is...But Vangel, Vangel fits there! Jason brought Vangel inside the hole. Vangel started crawling, the hole was a tunnel.
- I regret doing this -.
-Vangel come back! VANGEL!
Vangel didn't answer, he couldn't hear him. Panic. What did Jason do? He lost his 2 years old brother! He was going to cry but he heard a sound. A hope?

In the meanwhile, inside the tunnel Vangel was crawling happily. He found a key or some kind. He started to play with it. A hand tried to grab him, but he wasn't close enough. The creature said -Hi little child, what do you have there? A key? Beautiful! Give it to me,come on!-
Vangel didn't understand his words so he kept playing with the key. The creature kept saying -Come on child, give me the key, come closer!-. After some minutes, Vangel threw the key and the creature took it. The creature was a prisoned monster made out of lava. He freed himself with the key. His evil slaughter was powerfull, he broke a part of the side of the volcano, the one with the tunnel inside.

The Lava Monster came out, Jason saw him. He was scared, he wanted to escape but he couldn't leave Vangel alone so he went behind a rock. He waited for a bit. After the lava monster ran away, he went in the tunnel and took Vangel, then they both ran back home. Their parents saw them...
-Jason??? Where have you been?? I told you that you can't leave the kid, you're too young! And your brother is even younger! -.
Jason wanted to tell his parents about the Lava Monster but would they have trusted him? Would they have punished him? So Jason decided to don't say anything. But Vangel said:
-Waa goo monster, volcanooooo! -.
his parents looked at each other with a worried look...
-Did you go to the Volcano?? Are you crazy? There's a reason if our town is pretty far from there. It's dangerous... -.
His dad said:
-I think you don't remember it...I'll tell you the tale of The Lava Monsters... -.
