Lee-Annie's heart pounded as she sat in her living room waiting for the news never really knowing what was bound to happen. Her head was filled with thoughts, however, she had a feeling at the end everything would be okay. Adam ran to Lee-Annie with tears down his face " Lee-Annie I hate to tell you the news " he wrapped his arms around her tightly not wanting to let go of her " I'm sorry". She had thought to herself ' why me out of all people' she cried already knowing the news about her daughter " is she already dead" she asked with a numb expression. Adam hadn't said anything just looking at her face not knowing what to say to make it sound better than it was. Lee-Annie was ready to break but really didn't want to show out in public but honestly if anyone else had that happen to them they'd probably do the same " TELL ME ADAM I DESERVE TO KNOW "she screamed to the top of her lungs. Adam had nodded looking away from her " our daughter is dead" he had a tear run down his neck down into his shirt. Lee-Annie nodded and got up walking outside to the car leaning back looking at the clouds " come on god what did I do to deserve this, what did my babygirl do so harshly she deserved to die she was only six, she was happy" she sighed " we was happy" she smiled thinking about all the memories " when she would run to us because she had seen a monster in her closet" she had felt herself crying while talking " or when her imaginary friend ran off to play with the cat" her smile disappeared " but it's all gone" she wiped her tears away going to her daughter's room looking at all of her stuffed animals and her toys " I guess I did something wrong". Adam went behind her kissing her cheek " baby you did nothing wrong it's just life, it happens". Lee-Annie looked back at him nodding " right " she sat on her bed looking on her laptop writing down her thoughts " why couldn't it have been me or even Adam instead of her-" a voice had cut her off " you killed her Lee-Annie, if you would've been there for her more and heard her out when you was working out your problems between you and Adam, don't you think. You was stupid for thinking she would be okay. You honestly think she was happy with you and Adam". Lee-Annie shook her head as she was writing she had seen a dark figure in the corner of her eye almost as if it was a tall man " Lee-Annie come on you're probably just sleepy it's just your mind" she had said to herself shaking her head... Later that night she had seen another figure that was smaller. " alexis " she looked at it for a while " my daughter alexis is it you?" She ran to the figure only to find herself running into the wall. Adam watched from a distance " Lee-Annie I think it's time to go to sleep or see a therapist " he took her hands softly walking her to the bedroom " baby I know you're not okay by the news but I'm truly worried for your well being. You've been acting strange, like a the table you made Alexis's favorite dinner for her, baby I think you need to get some help and I'm not being rude when I say it". Lee-Annie rolled her eyes " I'm perfectly fine I'm not going to get help and I'm not crazy I know what I'm doing " she pushed him away laying down watching Adam exit their room " am I going crazy" she asked herself " am I delusional " she looked at the wall " I can't be I actually seen Alexis " she bit her lip softly closing her eyes holding her pillow close " I don't know what's going on but I seen Alexis, I know I did". She felt her eyes getting heavy so she had fallen asleep
