"So, you really like him? You met him last night, how can you like him already? You barely know him," I said. "Besides, I doubt you'll ever date."
"You'll never understand, Kayla. He's so cute!" Maddie exclaimed.
"He could be a 60 year old man for all we know. Meeting people on minecraft isn't how you find a love life, Maddie."
"Fine. Don't support me and my actions. I see how it is. You're the worst friend!" Maddie hung up the FaceTime call.
"Well, I don't support you when I know you're going to end up replacing me," I whispered to myself and sighed.
I know how this situation all works out. You fall in love with someone and completely ignore others that you've basically been close to for so long. You want to impress the person you like, but that leads to ruining friendships. And what happens after those friendships end and you get dumped? You're alone. I've been there, done that.
I messed up, didn't I? No, I shouldn't feel bad about what happened. I want to protect her. She's never going to forgive me, though. No! I can't apologize if I didn't do anything bad or mean, or did I? If she loses me then it's her fault. And that's final.
