I moved my finger over the clicker of my mouse, my heart pounded nervously as I clicked each and every little point for my little character on the screen to move to.
As the strange monster on the screen moved across the map known as Summoner's Rift, I couldn't help but feel that everything was strangely quiet... too quiet. I had been fighting the smaller minions for a while, and hadn't caught a whiff of the enemy opponents... the map ahead of me was dark, so I couldn't see if they were there, waiting for me... there was one way to find out of course.
I pressed the W on my keyboard, and instantly, the strange monster on my screen dove into the earth... and a thin purple ring extended around me, showing large circles that signalled the footsteps and movements of the enemies... an ability called Tremor Sense.
I smiled... it was only one person and several minions judging from the size of the tremors. And judging from the kills I had been making all day, there was no way the enemy's level was even close to mine. And considering the increased movement speed I had thanks to my burrow ability, I knew there was no way they could escape me.
First they tried to take my jungle, then they tried to take my mid laner's lane, no way was I going to let him off the hook
I saw him as I tunneled near.. a winged yellow and blue skinned garoyle, Galio. Supposedly he was a tank, being able to take plenty of hits... well.. that wasn't going to be the case since I had maxed to level 18, and he was still level 13.
I could see what they were doing, our opponents probably told him to wait there, so that he could lead the charge in and take the heavy hits, like tanks were supposed to... big mistake... they should have stuck together.. he was Rek'Sai's prey now, and he couldn't escape.
The moment the gargoyle spotted me, he began running away, but my superiour burrowed speed had him. He used flash, an ability that teleported him a short distance, to increase the distance between him and me... a little more, and he'd be under a turret's protection, and I'd be forced to retreat... not today..
I tapped the E key on my keyboard, and Rek'Sai instantly sped forward, creating a short tunnel which she jumped out out of, on the other end, closing the entrance behind her, and instantly catching up with Galio. I unborrowed in an eruption of earth, and threw my victim into the air, temporarily stunning him. I then tapped the Q key, and Rek'Sai lashed out with three furious blows.. and after a few more basic attacks, the word 'Legendary' appeared on my screen.
And just as that happened.. the game screen zoomed over the enemy base, to show that their main building blowing up as they decided to surrender prematurely. That was close.. if I waited too long on that kill, I would've lost it.. and that meant less bonus money upon the win..
I sighed and sat back in my chair, waiting for the end of match stat screen to show. This was only my 3rd Player V.S. Player match (called PVP) and already I had 3 victories, in all of which I gained over 23 kills each, and only around 1 or 2 deaths.
Rek'Sai was primarily a Jungle Fighter, which meant she hung around in the dense forests in the map alone, beating up other monsters to gain their bonuses, and back up the rest of my team. But I hadn't done that, no, I had been playing the Mid Lane, Assasin Role for every game... why? I hated letting others dictate my roles. And I was a pro enough in strategy to not act like a COMPLETE newbie.
I looked around my room, thinking that all the League of Legends terminology I was spouting around in my head would be lost on somebody who didn't play the game. My room was small and rather uncozy. The wall paper was peeling off.. the remaining wall paper was a dull gray like my old dusty bed...and my laptop was the fanciest thing in the room.. meant primarily for gaming, as that was the means for any social activity I had.
