The Storm is Approaching North.

Part 1.

Sang's POV.
She was pregnant? As in, a baby is growing inside her, her womb?
And is she implying that it is North's?
The very thought of North with this girl, touching each other, in ways that I can't fathom, in places, with body parts. Joining body parts.
It makes me want to vomit that he has done, these things, with this girl in front of me. I stepped back, twisting out of North's arms, suddenly feeling extremely uncomfortable. Straight away, he turned around, his eyes flashing at mine, don't go.
"Wait," He said softly. I'm surprised he didn't yell, but instead he seemed almost sad, and upset. I could see it all there, the anger he was suppressing.
I shook my head and ended up walking straight into Silas' huge frame. His arms came around my shoulders, hugging me close to his body, my back to his warm chest. I wasn't going to leave North, no, never would I do that, I was just giving him the room I knew he needed. When during an intense moment, he needs space. Telling him this with my eyes, I nodded in indication towards the girl, Victoria. He seemed to understand as he redirected his attention over to her, "You're pregnant?" He asked, running his fingers through his hair. She put her finger to her bottom lip the exact way I was at the same time and nodded small,
"Yes. And I think it's yours." She said, her lined eyes wide and flickering. North's face contorted in confusion and anger,
"You think? You fucking think? Think! Are you fucking serious, Victoria?"
"Yes! I am..." She spoke soft, and it was annoying me. Couldn't she just yell back at him? I do. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled while she spoke, "The test was positive."
"That doesn't fucking mean that it's mine!'
"It makes sense," she whispered now, "Time wise, it makes sense." The playground was silent for the moment as North took in what she meant.
Gabriel took the opportunity to speak up,
"How far along are you?" He asked gently.
"The test I took said six to eight weeks. Almost two months." She said immediately, looking down at her feet. North was silent, letting Gabriel speak for him, which was probably a smart idea. Gabriel played with a button on his cardigan, resting the other hand underneath his arm, standing casually,
"So, that means that you and North fucked in mid-August? Late August?" Victoria looked slightly taken aback at how brazen he was. None of us twitched; we were used to it,
"Um, well, yes. Then around a week later, we broke up."
"Because you were with another guy. You were cheating on me during the whole fucking stupid relationship." North brought in, speaking up. I thought it was a bit harsh, but I'm not complaining.
"The one time. It was one time."
I hate that girl now.
How dare she cheat on North, one of the most loyal guys I know, with someone else, who was probably only there for hormones.
I felt like smacking her. I almost did, my body subconsciously moving forward in Silas' arms. He squeezed me tight before loosening his hold on me slightly.
The squirming caused Victoria to look at us. She gave a small smile and came up to me, presenting her hand. I felt like all the kindness she was showing towards me was crocodile, fake.
She smelt of flowers and sweet honey,
"I believe we haven't been introduced. You are?" She left the question hanging in the air. Silas let go, allowing me to give her my hand,
"Sang." I said, not caring if I sounded rude. We shook twice before letting go,
"Oh. How...how do you know North?" She asked,
"We...we're close." She didn't have any right to know a thing about me and North. I'll let her try to sniff around the mystery, the smell lingering just in front of her nose. I tried to hold down the anger, but I couldn't help the hostility that rose to the surface. I didn't smile back at her.
"Um...you're not from around here are you?"
"No."
"When did you come here? Where from?"
"Last month, September. Illinois."
"Oh."
I stared her down. I wasn't going to be the victim in this encounter, she was, and she deserved it.
North came around putting his arm around my waist in front of her,
"Did you ever fucking think that it was the other guy? That shithead?" She shifted on her toes,
"Yes, but-"
"Then get a paternity test."
"If I do that, my parents will find out."
"You're own fucking fault. Take responsibility." Victoria looked beaten down at North's harshness. What did she expect? Did she think North was going to be sweet about it? Well, she got the wrong North if she wanted sweetness.
"We'll get you tested." said Dr. Green, at the side of the kindergarten playground, standing with Kota, Nathan, and Mr. Blackbourne. I didn't even know they were there.
She blinked,
"Who are you?"
"Why, I'm a doctor. Don't you see my white labcoat?" he replied, slowly walking forward. Since he gave Gabriel the cardigan, he left his coat on. He said he liked it better anyway. Victoria didn't look convinced; she probably thought he was a madman, the way his head was stuck on one side as he spoke to her, like viewing a specimen, the way he spoke, light and bubbly, without a worry in the world. I loved it, the flopping hair and the sparkling eyes. Speculative, she looked at North,
"Is he serious?"
"Why wouldn't he be? He's the best fucking doctor I know." My chest swelled in pride and glory at what he said. I love that North thought highly of Dr. Green. Mr. Blackbourne rubbed his hands together, leaning back as he began to speak,
"It's an excellent idea, Miss Victoria. If you give a sample to Dr. Green, we can get the results to you in no time. We'll organise an appointment to do a blood test soon. Is tomorrow okay with you?" Mr. Blackbourne was no nonsense. All business. Now she was really taken aback,
"Uh, okay. I guess. But I thought only a few places in America did that testing." Dr. Green smiled and walked right up to her, planting his fingers under chin, looking into her. I liked that he was being intimidating, but I didn't like that he was touching her.
Relax, Sang.
"Oh, didn't you know, sweetie?" He raised an eyebrow, "We can do anything."
Luke jumped, as if something stung from behind him, "Oh! Just like a magic act," he pulled a phone out of his pocket, holding it in between two fingers, "How did this get here?"
Gabriel grabbed the phone out of Luke's hand, who gave it to him willingly, examining it, "What a shitty case. These don't protect your phone well. And what an ugly colour. You really need to work on your taste, Victoria," turning on the screen, he passed it to Victor, who smirked at it the second he laid eyes on it,
"Also need a better security system," he showed her the screen, the phone hacked into. She gasped,
"There was a password!"
"Oh, that thing? I can override it. It's an easy guess too, five-six-five-six." He handed back to her, but not before weaving it around through the air, giving it to Silas, who, after flying the phone around, dropped it in my hand. All the guys stared at me.
I liked the look of shock on her face, it pleased me. I kindly handed it back to her, opening my mouth in a circle,
"Did you lose this?" I asked. I heard a couple of sniggers as she snatched it back, cheeks flushing.
It was a bit mean, but I didn't mind, and there was obviously some backstory, that I need to find out, because none of the boys were being kind to her.
They didn't like her. Good.
The way the boys all worked together, it was amazing. When did Luke even get the chance to get close to her to grab her phone? That astounded me, his talent. Wish I could do something similar. She gazed at me, her eyes wide,
"Are you friends with all of these guys? These idiots?" I felt my vision cloud with anger. Idiots? How dare she! And why has she changed all of the sudden? Becoming more mean? "How do you put up with them? You're just a little girl!" I raised an eyebrow at the irony of the comment and the anger that was rising in her attitude, but didn't say anything to it. Instead, I cocked my head to the side, biting my lip,
"Well, you're exactly right."
"Huh?"
"I'm a girl. That's how."
She choked in confusion, staring at us with her eyes wide. She didn't like me, I could see that from a mile away, and I returned the feelings, I just didn't show it as blatantly as her,
"You're ridiculous. Are you dating all of them?" I didn't answer. She laughed, "Good luck with that! Yeah, you should be the one pregnant."
That, I did not expect her to suddenly blurt out.
I watched as all of the boys froze, staring at her with glares that could murder. Kota's coolness, Silas' scary gaze, Victor's fire, Gabriel's maddening face, Luke's cold one, Nathan's stony expression, Dr. Green looking slightly amused, Mr. Blackbourne stayed perfectly standing there as normal. North had stepped forward, pointing a finger at her face,
"Don't mess with her, Victoria. Don't you fucking dare do anything." Her whole look from earlier, the shy, coy, scared puppy was replaced with a smug, calculating, yet pregnant tigress. Oh no.
"Oh?" She smirked and walked away, looking back at North,
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." She held the phone tight in her hand, nodding to the guys as she left.
Without acknowledging me.
Once she was out of earshot, North turned to me,
"Stay away from her. She's a cold, fucking bitch," he took a ragged breath, "Okay?"
"Okay."
North looked straight at Mr. Blackbourne.
"What the fuck? She has to be fucking lying. I...I was careful."
"I know you were. We'll get to the bottom of this."
"We fucking will."
Mr. Blackbourne sighed, rubbing his temples as he spoke,
"Okay, we have three vehicles. You," North, "Mr. Lee, Mr. Griffin, all come with me. Mr. Morgan, drop off Mr. Taylor and Mr. Korba, then take Mr. Coleman with you. Miss Sorenson,"
"Yes?"
"Go with Dr. Green. He will take you home."
As we dispersed, Dr. Green wrapped an arm around my shoulders, leading me to his car. He leaned in to my ear as he whispered.
"Yay. I get some alone Sang time."
Alone?
