Chapter 14

The Honored One

Itadori and Mahito are fighting to the death. A fatal attack strikes Itadori. However, Nanami appears and repels the attack. Before joining Nanami and Yuuji, you checked the state of the students and faculty, especially Miya.

"I'll reprimand you later. Give me a report on the situation at hand." Nanami arrived at the scene before Mahito could even implicit more injuries to Yuuji.

Yuuji looked down, eyes still red from crying. "I couldn't save two people."

'To what extent does he care about others?' Nanami asked himself. "First, tell me about your physical condition."

"I'm fine. Though, I have holes all over my body."

"... That's not fine."

"Everyone in the school has collapsed in the gymnasium."

"What's this? You're looking super lively, aren't you, shaman?" Mahito greeted Nanami. "It's good that we both made it out safe. Wanna go in for a hug? To celebrate our reunion and all." The curse smirked as he sniffled.

Nanami noticed Mahito's blood from his nose. "Itadori-kun, what about that nose bleed?"

"Huh? I punched him."

"When?"

"At the very beginning."

"Did he touch you?"

"Yeah."

"What about L/N?"

"...Y-Yes."

"How is she?"

"She's... gone." Yuuji looked down.

Nanami's eyes widened but tried to compose himself by fixing his glasses.

While Yuuji and Nanami planned how they were about to exorcise Mahito, you were busy checking each unconscious student in the school. You picked yourself up before proceeding to do your duty, not thinking too much about the woman you just saw and Junpei's death.

You first came for Miya and checked for her pulse. She was fine but no matter how much you wake her up she wouldn't react along with the other students.

"Satomura-sensei, are all of the students inside the gym?" You asked the teacher.

"Yes. L/N, why are you here? Do you know what's going on? Why is the building shaking earlier." Satomura asked.

"Please calm down. The building is safe. Can I trust you with checking each student and not let any one of you get out from here until rescue arrives?"

The teacher nodded.

"Where are the other faculty members?"

"Inside our office. All of them are unconscious."

You quickly went outside the gym and sealed it, making sure that curses cannot get inside. You then went upstairs to the faculty's room and checked each teachers' pulse. After examining all of their life, you went outside and sealed their room.

You then ran into your club's room and took the nearest baseball bat. You quickly jumped from the 2nd floor as you broke the windows to join Nanami and Yuuji.

"Ew." You reacted when you saw Mahito vomiting 3 reconstructed humans.

"L/N?!" Nanami and Yuuji synced.

"Before we talk about that, I'm also not sure what just happened earlier but rest assure I'm doing fine." You tried to keep them calm.

'How professional.' Nanami thought. "Give me a report."
