It was the last day of your senior year of high school. The dismissal bell has just rung and you are cleaning things out of your locker when you hear someone call your name. You turn and see that it's your best friend. Asgore Dreemurr, but you call him "Azzy". You've been friends with him since "What's up," you say as you close your locker. "Are you free after this?" he asks excitedly. "Yeah, why?" you reply. "There's something amazing I want to show you," Asgore grins, "Well, something other than my origami collection." You smile to yourself, "Anything we do together is special, so it shouldn't matter," you reply. Wait, did you really just say that out loud? "Please don't notice," you think to yourself. He chuckles and says, "You're the one that makes it special" You blush and look away. Asgore laughs and ruffles your hair "No reason to get flustered about it." He removes his hand from your hair, "Anyway, go home and change into some casual clothes and meet me at my house." "I can't wait to see you there." You nod your head in agreement and begin the short walk to your house. When you arrive, you head upstairs and put your bag down. "Hmm, what clothes should I wear?" You think for a moment, "How about the clothes I bought when I went to the mall with Azzy. He did say that they looked good on me," you nod your head, "Yeah, I'll go with those." You change into the clothes you bought with him and head downstairs. You see that Asgore is sitting on your couch. He hears you coming down the stairs and turns to you. "I got bored waiting and decided to come here." "If you don't mind of course," he adds. "It's fine, I love having you around, and I love-" You stop yourself before you say anything else. "Are you trying to embarrass yourself," your inner conscience asks you. "Why does this keep happening to me?" you ask yourself "I can't let him know how I feel..." "At least, not yet." A sly grin appears on Asgore's face, "What was that?" he asks, "Oh, I just said I enjoy having you around." "No, the other thing" "T-that was nothing," You reply "You suuuuuuure?" he asks playfully, drawing out the word for emphasis. "Yeah, don't worry about it." You turn your head away so he can't see your blush. "Anyway, are you ready to head out?" "Yes, I believe so." "Alright," Asgore says with an excited smile.

You walk out the door and he grabs your hand and starts running. You run along with him. "Why are we running," you ask. "We'll get there sooner, and it's a beautiful day outside for a run. After a few moments of running, he leads you into a forest. "Just a bit further." After navigating between the trees, you both enter a quaint little clearing. There are some small hills scattered with flowers in the clearing with a cherry blossom tree atop one of them. "It's beautiful," you say awestruck, "How did you find this place?" "Well, I was exploring after school to try and get good photographs for my photography class two years back when I saw a rabbit. I tracked it down to get a better photo of it, but it dashed back into the woods. I followed it until it opened up to this clearing. I then got a really good photo of the rabbit. It's like it wanted me to follow it. I come here sometimes to relax. Nobody else knows about this place except for me and you. Anyway, let's set up our stuff underneath the cherry blossom tree. You head up the small hill and he places his bag against the tree. He pulls out a picnic blanket and some carefully wrapped containers of food. The items in the containers are assortments of fruits, sandwiches, and two thermoses filled with green tea. There was also a container with a variety of carefully handcrafted macaroons.

"You're always the best when it comes to baking sweets," you say to Asgore. He rubs the back of his neck, "I'm not amazing at it, it's just a fun hobby of mine." "C'mon Azzy, you don't have to be so modest, you're the leader of the cooking club and you also won first place each year during the school's annual cooking competition." "You'd make a great husband," These words slip out of your mouth, barely giving you time to register what you had said. "I'd cook for you every day, always taking care of you," he says playfully, entertaining the idea. You blush and look away. "We could get married, but that would be a far way off from now." A small silence follows, "Anyway, let's eat." "Agreed," you say, excited to try his food. You start out with the bunny-shaped apple slices. "They're so cute that I don't want to eat them." you think to yourself, "But I will do it anyway to make him happy." They taste juicy and have a nice small crunch to them, as most apples do. Asgore always puts in his best effort when cooking. This was another reason that you were falling for him. You start on the rest of his assortment and after a while, you both finish everything except the box of macaroons. Asgore wanted to save those for last, for some reason. "I have a question for you." Asgore says, "Ask away," you reply. "How would you feel about playing a game that involves me hand-feeding you?" You almost choke on your tea. Your face turns slightly red at the thought. "S-sure." you manage to say. "Okay, so this is how it will go," Asgore says, "You'll close your eyes and I will feed you the macaroons." "You'll have to guess the flavor of each one, and if you guess them all correctly, you'll get a surprise." You calm yourself and say "Okay, I'm ready." You close your eyes and open your mouth, ready for the first macaroon. You feel Asgore put a macaroon in your mouth. You bite down into a tangy, citrus-like flavor. You know it's not just 'orange' because when it comes to desserts or at least ones that go well with tea, he goes all out with flavor and takes pride in what he makes. "Is it orange sorbet?" "You are correct," Asgore says, "Here's the next one." You open your mouth for the next macaroon and bite down into a rich chocolate flavor laced with a bit of cherry cream filling. Asgore always knew you had a sweet spot for chocolate. "Is it chocolate-covered cherry mousse?" "Your taste buds are really pulling through." "Okay, last one," "You bite into a light and fluffy flavor with a tad bit of sweetness in the filling, "I'm going with strawberry shortcake." "We have a winner," Asgore states, sounding like a game show host, "Now open your eyes to claim your prize." As soon as you open your eyes, Asgore leans in and kisses you. Your face turns a flustered shade of red. For a playful retort, you lean in to give him a kiss back but you instead pull his hood over his head and giggle playfully. "Hey," he says slightly annoyed yet playfully. He responds by wrapping his arms around you and he pulls you against him. He then puts you in a friendly hold and begins to intensely ruffle your hair. "Nooooo," you playfully whine. After a few more ruffles, Asgore lets you out of the hold and you still remain against him.

The afternoon breeze passes through, causing a parade of cherry petals to gently flutter down from the branches above as you both sit in comfortable silence. A petal lands on your nose, causing you to sneeze. Asgore chuckles, "Bless you." Some others scatter about onto your hair. "Watch this," Asgore says with a smirk as he waves his hand over a patch of grass beside him. Buttercups start to grow and bloom on that patch of grass. "Fire magic isn't the only magic I know." Your eyes light up, "Woah, you have control over nature?" you ask. "Well," he says sheepishly, "It's more of a side project per-say. I only know how to make some flowers grow." He picks a few of the flowers as he continues, "For now, I only know how to grow buttercups." He smiles, "It's what we primarily grow at our home garden, so it helps to have that skill." With a handful of buttercups, he begins to braid the flowers into a crown. "And... voila," He says triumphantly as he rests the crown upon your head while a proud smile appears across his face. You both ease into a comfortable silence as the afternoon breeze blows once again. Azzy breaks the silence, "I love you (Y/N), you know," "For a while now." A blush rolls across your face, "Y-You do?" you stammer, "I thought I was the only one. You look at the stray clouds rolling across the sky, "So... what now?" you ask, "We're done with high school, so I assume it's off to college?" "We could do that," he starts, "Or... we could take a break year to travel the world together, to see everything the world has to offer, to overcome anything that gets in our way." He lifts his head to the sky as well, "We'll worry about what we do next when we get back from traveling the world." He looks down at you, "Does that sound like a solid plan, (Y/N)?" "Absolutely, there's no one else I'd rather do it with." you reply "Plus, my dad's the boss of a travel agency, so he should be able to hook us up with the flights." Asgore holds your hand in his, "Great, I'm looking forward to tasting the different teas and seeing the different flowers that are across the world." You nod your head in agreement, "It doesn't matter where we go," you declare, "As long as I have you around, I'm content." You stand up and help Asgore to his feet, "Now let's get back to my house and start planning." With that, you both head back to your house as the clouds roll in the sky. "I can't wait to spend every moment with you by my side."
