THE WEEKENDS SOON CAME BY AND THAT somehow went unnoticed by Leilani. She sat on the chair as she slowly ate her breakfast. Her laptop was opened as she was typing away in her Word Document as she also received M-mails from the council.
Toshinori closed the door of his room and yawned as he made it towards the dining area. As he got there, he noticed the youngling's gaze fixated on her device. He sighed and rubbed his eyes, "Ani, it's too early for that. Why don't you eat your breakfast without any electronic devices..." He mumbled, walking towards the counter to pour in some coffee in his mug that Leilani made earlier.
"Sorry pops... I'm kinda busy at the moment." She replied, clicking away some files on her computer. The skinny male sighed in defeat. He admired his goddaughter's determination and responsibility, but sometimes he wishes she'd also take a break from time to time. These tasks of her being the temporary head of the council were affecting her mental health greatly and that did not go unnoticed by the number one hero.
Don't get him wrong, he too was investigating where the League of Villain's hideout might be since that's where both Ryuu and Kalista were taken hostage. Thank god he has an ally like Tsukauchi who's part of the force and a detective. He hasn't even told her about Tsukauchi's recent report on All for One yet.
Although he knows he shouldn't keep secrets from her, especially regarding an investigation that somewhat connects to her parents' whereabouts, he didn't want her to overwork herself even further than she is now. He knows how her attitude has changed ever since her parents were abducted. And since that day, she's grown distant and stuck to her training, investigation, school works, lessons, and the council.
'You have changed so much after all these years, Young Leilani...' He thought to himself, then looked up to the ceiling, 'It's just as you said, Queen Karolyn...'
His eyes then darted towards Leilani's planner that was on the counter and it was open. He looked at her schedule and it was a bit messy. After all, time management wasn't really her specialty. But, something did catch his eye. "You have a date with young Todoroki later...?" He questioned as he glanced over to the young princess.
