JUNGKOOK POV

"Let me go!" She keeps screaming and screaming.

Yujin's much stronger than she looks, and she manages to drag us even closer to the edge, making it dangerous for both of us.

I panic seeing the crashing waves and water under us and I groan in pain as my soulmate headbutts my chin.

"Jimin-ah, a little help here!" I yell over my shoulder at the frozen Jimin behind me.

He snaps out of his trance and sprints over, grabbing Yujin from the front, trapping her in between our chests.

"GODDAMN IT JUST LET ME GO!" She screams with so much agony and pain and goes limp in my arms.

"Please..." she pleads one last time, as if she knew her battle is over.

It all goes silent and for a moment, all that can be heard is Yujin's broken sobs and our haggard breathing.

I cradle her face in my hands and freeze.

She has swollen eyes, trembling lips and a runny nose. But those aren't the things that make me shudder.

It's the emptiness and hopelessness in her.

She looks up at me with dull eyes, which soften a bit and gently puts a hand on my cheek , "Why are you crying?"

My eyes widen and as she said, salty tears are running down my face.

I feel heat rush to my face when I have the urge to cry again just looking at Yujin. I pull her into my arms and bury my face in her neck, muffling my cries. She melts into my embrace.

"D-Don't ever do something like that again. I-I thought I l-lost you and-" I stop there when I see purple marks lining her neck.

I pull back slightly and lightly trace over them in curiosity, only to be pushed back by Yujin. She shoots a glance toward Jimin, who's still laying breathless in the ground, as if she's saying, "Later, without Jimin"

I stand up quickly, bringing Yujin with me, who's still buried in my arms.

She turns around and stares wistfully at the bridge before hugging my waist tighter, making my heart flutter.

"What's wrong?" I whisper in her hair.

She breathes heavily and looks up at me, "I should've jumped faster"

I stop in my tracks and hold her tighter, my heart breaking with each step.

"Let's get you home" I say instead, while pulling back and interlacing our hands.

Yujin just looks down at our interlocked hands and frowns a bit.

I ignore my bubbling disappointment at her reaction and let go quickly, "Jimin-ah can you drive us back?"

He says something in return, but I don't pay attention, as the feeling of Yujin's fingers finding mine distracts me.

She fidgets with my fingers a bit, before finally enclosing her hand in mine. I feel a little squeeze and my heart stops right then and there.

Turning my head, my soulmate remains emotionless.

But I think there's a small flush upon her cheeks. I think...
