A busy street of abandoned kids.

A businessman in his early 30s steps out of his car and walks down the busy streets, heading to his usual place to eat at.

He has become immune to the fishy smell along the street because of fish vendors fending for themselves. No one tried to even steal from him for this is where he once lived, where he grew up, he once ran this streets back in the days.

He sits at his favorite table spot, at the far corner beside the window. A crew takes his usual order and leaves him alone as they prepare his food.

The man stares outside of the window, gazing at the busy street that reminds him of his childhood when his eyes comes across a boy.

The kid was skeletal and pale, almost as if he doesn't really eat and he looked filthy, his clothes stained and his skin had scratches and wounds.

The boy was standing by the street, watching people as they passed by. Then a drunk man that looked like he did well in life passed by, the kid sneakily snatched his wallet in his back pocket without anyone noticing.

Well, except for the businessman watching.

The businessman saw that and smirked. The kid seemed like he's an expert, hardship in life forcing him to do things he shouldn't.

The businessman quickly finishes his lunch and walked along the street where he saw the kid. He caught a glimpse of the kid eyeing him, probably trying to aim.

Just when the businessman got close, the kid tried to snatch the wallet in his back pocket but the man was quick to hold onto his arm. The hold was gentle yet tight enough to stop the kid from running with his wallet, which is empty by the way.

"Hey kid, what's your name." the businessman kneels with his one knee, leveling his eyes with the kid.

The kid looked down as he bit on his bottom lip, embarrassed, his hand still clutching on the empty leather wallet.

"Why do you ask? You gonna report me, old man?" the kid asks, his voice stung yet his lips were quivering. The businessman chuckled, shaking his head.

"No, don't worry. Do you have a home? A family?" the businessman asks, curious if the kid lives anywhere, having something to sleep on atleast.

But the pale kid shook his head a 'no'. "Been living here in the street for who knows how long." He curled his lips as he shrugged.

The businessman felt sympathetic towards the kid, and right at that moment he felt a strong urge to bring the kid home and adopt him, because why not?

The businessman pursed his lips as he hummed then held the boy by his shoulders and looked him in the eyes, "Are you hungry?" He asked.

The boy slowly nodded with his head hung low, he stretches his hand, giving back the wallet to the businessman.

The man looked at it then at the boy, a smile forming on his lips before retrieving the wallet.

"Do you wanna eat? I'll treat you to lunch." The man saw how the boy's eyes sparkle as his face lit up in glee at the sound of food.

The boy smiled, a bright one as his eyes disappear into crescents. The man adored the genuine smile, and to be honest, it was a beautiful smile. The kid is suffering like this, forced to steal only to be able to eat, and the man cannot leave it like this. He decides to adopt him.

"But before we go, may I ask again, what's your name, kiddo?"

"Park Jimin, sir. Hello, I'm sorry for being rude and stealing earlier." The kid bowed, he was sincerely polite, and his smile never left his lips after the mention of food.
