Chapter 8: The Red Palace 2

At the Red Ice Palace, Red Kingdom.

"Take the stud off his dead body. I don't imagine it will stick to the dead.", the Red King declared Oga's fate!

Pearl was overjoyed. She calculated that since the King was pleased with the confiscated amulet, her purse would burst from the weight of the bounty. She could barely contain her joy.

"Does it please my Lord to kill such a lovely child?", Rosa's entrancing voice filtered through the palace halls. The King paused and turned to admire his dashing Red Queen. She stood there in a super seductive, yet regal attire that showed off her lush, glossy skin in all the right places. Her bewitchingly beautiful frame cat-walked up to His Majesty, the Red King. His intensely cold aura warmed up so fast, it was jaw-dropping. He smiled!

The Red King took Rosa's slender fingers in his when she got close enough. He gently caressed her knuckles with his thumb and planted a small kiss on the back of her palm. Her lovely scent danced around him. She settled in his lap elegantly, her fingers played around his chest and up to his neck.

"Mmm... Rosa, we're in court.", the blushing Red King whispered in a deep, sexy voice. With a smile, he held her small waist and rewarded her PDA with a little nip on her earlobe.

"Mmm... let them watch...", she moaned, tilting her head to brush her lips against his.

"You're such a tease.", the previously-cold-and-terrifying-but- now-flushed king kissed his queen oh so lovingly.

The entire court watched the scene, super flushed. Their King and Queen were truly a rare love match. They had been like this since they wedded almost 2 years ago. 'Oh how wonderful it is to find true love in an arranged marriage.', they thought.

"Haa... Mmm... My Lord, he's so cute. I can't bear to watch you be so cruel.", the queen continued, a little breathless after their hot kiss.

"He's an abomination, my love. Besides, his mother is dead, his father is Green-haired and will be killed once found. Any other family will be too scared to have him. Killing him is doing him a favour... Ask anything else darling. You'll have it, whatever you wish.", he tried to persuade her.

"I want nothing but the boy... A little pair of feet to relieve my boredom whilst you tend to royal business, my Lord.", she insisted.

"If you want a child, we can make one right now.", His Red Majesty smirked.

The Queen giggled. "Just let me have him. What's more selly than a disguised genius? I'm quite certain he could eventually prove... valuable to my Lord."

"Hmmm...", the Red King considered her words for a moment.

"Who else knows of the child's green stripe?" he asked Fushi.

"None else but the people in this court right now, Sire.", he replied.

"Get Cadval and his men.", the King ordered.
A servant rushed to get Cadval, Head of the Flame (Assassins of the Red Kingdom). He was soon bowing before the king with a pale, bloodthirsty countenance and his usual look of indifference. He was well built, handsome, quiet, good-looking, but with a dark aura and the eyes of a skilled killer. He had 2 of his men with him.

"At your service Sire.", they said in a uniform bow.

The Red King rose from his throne with Rosa plastered to his side. "Hear my decree. Henceforth, this child is named Prince Oga, Prince of the Red Palace! Every record of his past is hereby erased.", the King declared. The court applauded.

"What!? B-but that's insane!...", Pearl screamed stupidly, forgetting she was before the King.

"Need I explain my decision to a wretched peasant?" His Majesty fumed. "Take her! Beat her to death!", he commanded.

Pearl was roughly dragged out by Cadval's men.

"He's yours now. You may retire to your chambers with the child." His Majesty's eyes softened as he addressed his queen.

"Thank you, darling. You're the best.", the satisfied queen kissed her Lord again.
She walked towards the tearful child." You poor thing... There-there...", she patted the child and picked him up to console him. "Don't be afraid. I'm your mother now. I'll protect you.", she said as she retired to her chambers.

Once Rosa was out of sight, the King ordered,
"Cadval, slaughter the Palace Watch. I'd like to make an example for anyone who ever mentions a particular 'striped' matter concerning my son."

"As you wish, Sire.", Cadval replied.
With lightning-fast movements, he appeared right in front of Fushi before any of the Palace Watch officers could even react to the King's order, let alone beg for their lives.

The court froze in horror.

Cadval was the deadliest man in all of the Red Kingdom, but beyond that, everyone knew he was a sadistic maniac who killed torturously. He had a fighting technique designed to inflict the maximum pain and suffering possible on his prey whilst avoiding their acupoints, keeping them alive and fighting for as long as they could till they lost their minds and died a horrific death from anguish.

"Strike me", he said, his expression still indifferent. "This will be dull and unfulfilling if you don't put up a fight worthy of His Majesty's service."

It was said, if you didn't fight, he would shoot tiny stringed needles into your acupoints and like a puppeteer, controlling the prey's body in a heated deathmatch till their hearts would finally give out from the excruciating pain and exhaustion.

Fushi trembled, but he knew he had to deliver a good performance. His Majesty was watching, and it was better to fight Cadval to death yourself than to let him puppeteer you to death.

Fushi drew his giant mace. It still had Celine's blood all over it. With him, all the Palace Watch officers in the court came at Cadval as a team, but it was no use. They couldn't touch him. He was too fast, too skilled, too powerful, too experienced.
Cadval hacked their bodies brutally. Their painful cries were music to his ears. He derived pleasure from their suffering. The officers fought a losing battle till they were weary. They slowed their pace from exhaustion. Cadval was unimpressed. He let his strings loose!

The King rose to leave the court, shutting the doors upon the tune of brutal massacre.
