We arrive at the asylum and a knot forms in my stomach. I wipe my sweaty palms on my jeans. I step out of my partner's car and look around.

On the outside, the Renet Insane Asylum looks like a typical, preppy school for snooty rich kids. I know that it looks polished on the outside, but it's probably horrid on the inside.

I'm Trinity Blen and my partner's name is Amanda Clare. Technically I'm an intern for Amanda, but she's deciding to train me so I can get a good job as a journalist.

We're here at the Renet Insane Asylum on the recent, brutal murder that occurred here a few days ago.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Amanda inquires.

"Yes Mandy, I want to do this. This is a great chance for me to see what it's like in the journalism world. You want to hep me right?"

She's like an older sister to me, I've known her since I was eleven.

"Okay Trin, but just so you know, the body of the victim and asylum might be bloody and gross and horrifying. I don't even know what it will be like in their. It might to too much for you to handle." She says this like she's nervous herself.

"You need to remember that I'm almost seventeen, Mandy."

"I know, I know. Let's go."

I just nod and follow her down a long, cement road. Why we stopped driving instead of pulling up to the front door? I have no clue.

I don't ask because Mandy already looks nervous. I wonder why in the world she's nervous. I'm not in the least bit nervous. I'm excited.

We walk a quarter mile to the front door and knock on the big, wooden, front door. I swear I know this place from somewhere, I just don't know why.

A man that looks roughly forty years old opens the ginormous doors and glares at us. Maybe we shouldn't have come here.

"What the hell you girls want? We wasn't expecting press until tomorrow." I hope he isn't armed.

"We were requested by the head of this institution, so I would like to look around and investigate." Mandy sure knows how to be formal, even when she's scared.

"Fine, but try not to interact with the patients. Most of 'em don't like people." I better stay close to Mandy

"That will be fine, sir."

We enter in and I can tell why people tend to stay away from the place. The walls are discoloured and there's red stuff on- oh, that's blood. I'm just going to step around that.
