"And Max, you sit in the last row second to last seat." Mrs.Landburg said while pointing towards me.

Last row second to last seat. I sit in the last row last seat. This means she sits in front of me.. Max. A blonde haired, blue eyed stranger, who I had never met before but had a weirdly good feeling about.
I sat there awkwardly so I wouldn't mess up my one shot at a good first impression.
Max was the type who really does not care. She will do anything and admit anything without hesitation. The type of person nobody can say no to. But, she wasn't necessarily popular. She knew a lot of people and a lot of people know her. And if you ask around, everybody will recognize her name.
The popular people at my school, they have to have designer stuff, celebrity haircut, perfect pedicure and a pretty face (smothered in designer makeup). They never wear the same shoes two days in a row, they smell like pure angels, real skinny, can slip by the uniform code we have without getting in trouble, and can get whoever and whatever they want.
Max though, she was more a tomboy who wore the same 3 pairs of Vans throughout the whole school year, she wears the same baby blue Colombia jacket. She bites her nails real short. She can look flawless without makeup, and sometimes get away with uniform violation. Depending on the day. She had amazing grades. But she wasnt popular. Im not sure why, but it made her special. The type of person everybody wants to be.

She turns around, "Hey, do you have a pencil I could borrow?"
And the only pencil I had was the one in my hands.. But, without a word, I handed it to her.
"If this is your only one.. That's fine. I'm sure somebody else has one."
"Oh no, I have another." I Lied.
"Alright. Thank you."
She turned back around and class began.
