SHOT 10
"Son, always remember that no Qureshi heir is born without any wedlock." The tone of his father conveyed many things to Ayaan. He was sure that he was being punished for something.
He stood silently. Ayaan had been with his father for some thirty minutes already. His forehead was now tensed, lips pursed and his eyes were now seeking a chance to see anywhere but at his father. He was the only son of Zaakir and Shaista and this was the reason that Ayaan Qureshi was a spoilt child. His father often tell his mother that she was coddling him a lot.
Zaakir looked at his son, Ayaan was an exact copy of his. Even when he was born those eyes were exactly like this but he was always glad that his son had the smile of his mother.
"Baba may I go now?" Ayaan asked. He wanted to go and play with his friends. It was their vacation and Ayaan didn't knew what he had exactly done that he was given a lecture. A lecture how he should be careful.
"Ayaan Qureshi," his father said in annoyance. Ayaan at that moment forget that his father had had his leash.
"Baba please Azaan is waiting for me. May I go please." This time Ayaan's voice was equally irritated.
"Son come here." His father called him. Ayaan went towards his father. Ayaan had been a perfect son except his anger. Ayaan slowly moved towards his father. His father gestured him to sit on the chair that was placed infront of him. Ayaan was first confused. First his father instead of going to the office was there infront of him and talking absolutely nonsense According to him and second Ayaan didn't knew what he had done now to gain this must important lesson as his father has termed it.
Having no other option, he looked straight in the in the eyes of father and asked.
"Baba have I done something wrong?" His question first puzzled his father. Zaakir knew that The Talk was must so he had specially cancelled all his meetings to have a nice talk with his son but here his son was occupied in his own world. Listening to Ayaan's question his father raised his eyebrow and asked.
"Is there anything I should know son?" His father's question made Ayaan shudder he immediately nodded in a No.
"No, but I don't understand why I am here with you. Mum wanted to go shopping for some new clothes. I had to make numerous excuses to let her leave me but now here I am with you." Ayaan explained with a sigh. It was indeed his bad day.
His father smiled a bit but he knew that if didn't talked with his twelve year son now then he will have to face his angry wife.
"Ayaan you know that we Qureshi's have prestige that cannot be compromised at any cost." He said and Ayaan this time nodded innocently.
'But Baba I promise I haven't done anything. Infact this time my marks are also good. It's just that I am two position behind. But I promise you that I will do better next time." Ayaan smiled tried to do the damage control thinking that his father wanted him to remind of his grades.
"Son, we are not talking about your grades. I am sure that I don't need to remind you about it. It's about the future of Qureshi's." Ayaan looked confused and asked again.
"Baba I don't understand. Future means. I know that I have to learn everything so that I can help you. But it's too soon Baba.." Ayaan paused for a moment and then asked immediately.
"Baba do you think that I will not be able to handle. Do you I have to learn anything more. I know that Dada abbu made you attend those classes where you learnt everything. Am I going to go through same." Ayaan's endless questions made his father held his head. His inquisitive son didn't need any lessons. He concluded but the threat of his wife made him try once more.
"Ayaan we aren't talking about Qureshi group of industries or the estates. Son it's about the act of .." his father stutter. Ayaan was now paying hundred percent attention to his father. He was all attentive and seeing Ayaan's attention on his father, Zaakir Qureshi cleared his throat at once.
"Son.. it's about the act of making babies.."
Finally the words were out. Zaakir thought but he failed to see the white face of his only son and after some seconds he heard a loud voice. His son was now dramatic.
"Baba.. please.." Ayaan immediately stood up but his father was quick to hold his shirt and pulled him back.
"We need to talk.. he stressed. Your mother wants to know that she will not condone any mistake on your behalf." Ayaan was shocked, his face was still having the redness from the embarrassment.
"Son I know it's difficult to discuss it right now. I know I should have talked to you regarding this after some years."
"Yes Baba, some more years probably when I am twenty." Ayaan bellowed and his father looked at him with slight anger.
"Ayaan Qureshi we are having this talk right now so you will behave." His father's words made Ayaan pout.
Present
"Son always remember that women are delicate just like flower, so you need to handle them with care."
Ayaan looked around there were so many people around but what gained his attention was a woman dressed in a simple suit that was familiar for her running behind the toddlers.
"So mum knew that she will be here. That's why she was keen on sending me here." Ayaan thought smiling.
Haya was there as it was weekly routine and Shaista had known it from last six months. She had meet Haya for the first time in that orphanage only. Haya had been a volunteer and the young woman had charmed her way to Shaista's heart.
As his feet automatically made towards the owner of his attention, someone collided with Ayaan. Without even looking anywhere he saw that Haya was kneeling down holding the little girl.
"Baby where did you hurt?" She checked Thoroughly, without even knowing that someone was having his all attention on her.
The baby nodded in a No. She immediately held the little girl in her arms and stood up. The moment she saw the person infront of her feet immediately stumbled and if not Ayaan had not held her she would have definitely fallen down.
"Allow me Haya," Ayaan said as he take the little girl in his arms. The baby girl was mute but she immediately came in his arms..
"Naina alright?" He asked the baby and baby nodded and kissed his cheek making Haya shock.
