"You look amazing." He gave me a quick kiss and I blushed.
Wait what? Did he just?
"Before we go, I have a surprise for you." He pulled out a box from his jacket and opened it revealing a beautiful necklace.
"Damien-" I tried to refuse the damn thing it looked too expensive.
"Calm down. This is just a thank you gift for helping me out."
"Uh yeah but you didn't have to." He slid right behind me and pushed my hair to the side before clasping the necklace around my neck.
"For you? Of course I did." he smiled down at me.
Okay how had I not seen this before. We were acting like we were together.
"Are you okay?" He asked me as he opened the car door for me while his hand was casually resting on my lower back as if it was the most normal thing ever.
"Uh yeah I'm great." I cleared my throat and reached out to tuck the strand of hair falling in my face behind my ear.
...................................
When we got there, there were a few cars packed in the driveway.
"I thought you said this was a family dinner?"
"It is. Look it's not too late to back out we can-"
"We're doing this. I mean what are friends for?"
He smiled brilliantly at me and jogged over to my door opening it for me.
Such a gentleman.
He took my hand and led me into the gigantic house. This kind of money must hit different.
He led me through a couple of doors to the dining.
We found people sitted at the table engaging in conversation and they all turned up to face us.
"Damien!" A woman shouted excitedly and walked over to him.
I tried to slip my hand out of his so he could hug her but he wasn't having it.
"Mother." She gave him a hug and I laughed lowly at the way he cringed while she glared at him.
"And this must be your girlfriend." She smiled brightly at me.
"Hi, I'm Simonè it's very lovely to meet you." I spoke calmly. Yes thank God for the wine I'd had a while back for making me so chill.
"Well Simonè the pleasure is mine. You should come and sit. Damien your father and I would love to have a word in private. " he sighed and walked out of the room after giving me a kiss on the cheek making me smile.
I stood there while greeting the rest of his relatives when a guy who looked slightly like Damien but a little older joined the room.
"Who is this?" He asked staring me up and down.
Okay no.
"Damiens girlfriend." One of his cousins answered.
"You should come and sit. We have a lot to catch up on." He offered me a boyish smile.
I sat beside him and smiled tightly. He stared at me with a huge smile on his face.
"So do you have a name?" I asked facing him and trying my best not to run away.
"It's Devin." He replied shortly while his hand travelled to my hair strand and I hurriedly removed it.
Well we then jumped into a conversation and we were cut off when Damien came back.
"Hey bro!" Devin said to him while grinning.
"Devin. Get up." Damien spoke coldly. I'd definitely never heard him this way.
That's because you only hear him groan hoe.
"Why?" He smirked in amusement .
Damien sighed. "You know what fine Simonè get up, please."
"Uh okay." He made me sit near him and his parents and this definitely annoyed Devin.
