The courtroom gasped in shock but was quick to turn the shock into congratulations as, yet again, Edgeworth would finally put the guilty to shame. He bows to his audience, drowning in his own glory. The bailiffs quickly took the defendant away, and soon enough, everyone started filing out of the room.

Edgeworth, not in a rush to get home decided to walk through the front hall area to observe and see if anyone worth his time would be out there. Phoenix Wright was, sure enough, standing in his navy blue suit and bright red tie. Standing next to him was his partner Maya Fey with his daughter Trucy. Some random women also stood with them-- probably his defendant, no doubt. Adjusting his collar, he approaches the group. Being her bubbly self, Maya was first to call attention to the approaching Edgeworth.

"Edgeworth!" She exclaims, clapping her hands together, "I heard you had another win today- you're on fire out there!" Edgeworth was the type of person to show emotions too easily; he found it difficult to do so. He just nods and scans over the group.

"They all make it entirely too easy. I've heard you're all doing well; what's the case this time?"

Phoenix glances at the papers he's holding. "I'm defending Allison Al, accused of killing their best friend who is also a business partner." The girl standing next to him shuffles uncomfortably. "You have to believe me; I didn't do it," she mumbles under her breath.

Edgeworth smirks with pride, focusing on the young girl beneath him. "It's not you that I need to believe, my dear. It's all in the evidence. If you're really not guilty, the evidence will speak for you," she looked nervous. Whatever the case must be, the odds were definitely against her. Maya gives a look of disapproval, arousing a sigh out of Edgeworth. "Of course, you also have Phoenix here to speak for you. I think you'll at least have a sliver of a chance with him." His words meant well, but the defendant only filled her with more worries. Edgeworth wishes them luck and heads out the building doors.

It was a beautiful spring day. Many people were out running around the city. Nearly every shop had its doors open for potential customers to waltz through. It was so nice out, Edgeworth was almost disgusted by it; all of these people spreading their germs and illnesses around as if it were candy on Halloween--it was revolting. Luckily for him, the prosecutor's building was relatively close to the courthouse, so Edgeworth could quickly get back inside and to his office, where he could continue his work for the afternoon. He ordered his secretary to bring him a cup of tea and continued on to his paperwork. He had so many cases lined up for the next several months that he was thankful for his secretary, who, despite being ditzy at times, could keep his scheduling consistent and give him the breaks whenever needed. After losing to Phoenix not just once, but several times, he decided that maybe a break was in order to help clear his mind and gain focus; so on Wednesdays of every week, he only attends work in the morning and takes the rest of the day off to spend time at home, at the park, at the lake, or wherever he decides to go for the day.
