-12 years later-

I sit there next to my mother as she weeps over my fathers grave. Its been twelve year since his death. I remember that he was tall and handsome. Mother tells me that I look just like him.

Mother is kneeling on the grass brushing off the dead leaves. She is beautiful for having a stressful job as queen. We are both wearing the same dress. Dark black. I look at Richard standing off to the side. He never met father, he never got to see what a wonderful man father was.

"Mother lets go in now, we have to do the memorials for the public then we can have the day to ourselves." I whisper.

She stands tall and strong. But only I know that she is breaking on the inside. "Yes, lets get that done and over with. Wheres your grandmother?"

"She is at grandfathers bedside, she said she wont leave him alone." I say quietly.

"Yes, I have to visit him today. Do you know how he is doing?" She say as we walk back to the castle.

"Not good, the doctor says he probably wont last to the end of the week."

"Oh, have you heard from your aunt and uncle?"

"Yes they are in France asking for more troops to go to china."

"You are on top of things today aren't you?" She laughs.

"Well I will be queen one day, I have to be."

I look at Richard who looks annoyed. He should have the crown. He was the one that was born here in the castle and wasn't a mistake. I was some fluke of my mother and fathers. I was raised for my first five years away from here.

"Will I ever be king?" He asks.

"If I die or turn into traitor to the state then yes you would."

"Oh, and thats never going to happen. So will I become a general like Uncle Aspen?"

"Yes and no, depends on what you want." mother says in an adoring tone.

When we get to the news room everyone stands and bows. We walk up to our thrones and sit down. The maids come by and fix mothers make up. They then come to me and fixes mine.

"Ready?" The camera man asks.

"Yes." mother says putting on a fake smile so do I and Richard.
