Chapter-15 (Brainwashing)

"Doctor, DO?" the nurse silently called, turning his gaze to her from his files. "Are you alright? You're stressing too much since past few days"

"I'm perfectly fine," he replied in a sore tone as he rubbed his sleepy eyes, "I'm about to complete my papers, anyway. You may take your leave"

"Thank you, Doctor DO. Even you too should leave now. It's past mid-night and still you've stuck with your work"

"I'm fine, Ms.Sunny. It's almost complete"

"But still, you can't overw-" she was cut by him.

"Thanks for your concern, Ms.Sunny. But let me finish it first," he replied sternly, returning back to his work again.

She could see how tired and sucked up he is, that he looked complete opposite of a charming happy boy. She sadly sighed and excused her way out.

After her exit, DO sighed annoyed and threw the files to the floor before plopping his head into his hands. He bit his lower lip very hard to stop his dripping tears that found it's way. He massaged his paining temples.

Eversince the night where DO watched Kai and Sulli together, he found that two had mutual feelings. DO expected they both would be normal as usual from next day, but it only seems like they began going out without confessing each.

Their affection in their eyes when they meet; their honest smiles that can speak a thousand words; the way they hold their hands to promise they have each other, everything DO watched from afar can only make him cry and die deep inside.

To forget everything DO overworked himself, lost his appetite, sleep, happiness and everything. He imprisoned himself in his room allowing only darkness to evolve.

The amount of love he had for Sulli was something he can never explain. He continued to cry his heart out, letting the sleep take over him later.

In a sunny afternoon, the sun boiling the land by it's tremendous heat, car horns breaking the eardrum, people swimming in the crowd of hurrying humans- one of a common weekdays to be in short, is not where one has the patience to stay waiting for someone unless they're mad. If so, then Kai could be one, as he's the one doing it now.

"Aish!" Kai once again typed Sulli's number in his mobile. "Why isn't she taking my calls? I've said her to be here on time but still she din't. Attend my call, Sulli-ah," he impatiently walked down the busy shopping streets, hoping he would find her somewhere.

"Kai-ah.......!" a loud, almost familiar voice stopped him. He immediately looked in all the possible sides to find Sulli.

When he spotted her, his smile instantly drowned and an irritating look aroused. The face he never wanted to see again was in front of him, smiling widely at him.

"Hey, Kai! Long time no see?"

"Eunji...?" he said, almost disbelieving the fact that even after she's given so much heart-breaks to him, she still could smile like nothing's wrong.

"Woah...! You could still remember my name?"

"How am I supposed to forget the species that was about to ruin my life?" he replied in a totally bothered and sarcastic tone. "And why the hell are you here?"

"Shopping.....," she plainly replied, not caring his insult.

"Then better continue it and don't disturb me," he turned around and started to walk, but stopped when she spoke again.

"Don't leave soon. I'm here to say you some bitter truth"

He faced her with not-so-pleasing face. "What the heck do you want?"
