Starting Fresh

Starting high school in a completely new state is never easy especially when you know your best friends are no where near so you have no one to depend on.

Having no one to depend on can lead to bad habits and terrible decisions.

Which, unfortunately, for me was my case

For as long as I could remember I was always a sweet innocent child with a huge imagination who always knew drugs and alcohol are never a good habit.
I was an A and B student all through out middle school but once I started high school on my own everything changed.

I was extremely naïve.

I was lucky to be able to find some friends on the first day. They were amazing, they took me under their wing and presented me to more people. I wanted to fit in and "be cool" so I started ditching, started slacking off and acting like I didn't care. Overtime the act of not caring became real and I began to get careless.

The first semester I ended up failing half of my classes, due to rarely doing work or doing the bare minimum. Ditching became a regular thing and I would end up ditching at least 3-4 classes a week. The friends that took me under their wing were good to me but then I messed it up by dating one of my friends ex boyfriend (like I said I got careless) and then ended up liking two of their friends at the same time and things ended up getting messy. So after that they stopped talking to me so I had to find new friends. Shortly after I found a new friend group, things were rocky at first since I knew only 2 out of the 7 people in the group. It took me at least a month for me to be considered "part of the group"

The guys were easy to be friends with especially since they were chilled, laid back, and some were even high. Slowly I started liking one of the guys but I knew it would never happen since he was my friends ex (and we know the end result of that last time)

I told my best friend(she was part of the group) about him and she told me that he liked her, that's when I found out my friend(his ex) didn't care if he dated her friends because they had ended on good terms and knew things just weren't meant to be. Since I found out he liked my best friend I set my feelings aside and helped her try to figure out her feelings towards him.

Once she figured out she didn't like him, she then decided to help me and try and get him and I closer. She gave me his snap and when I went to add him I realized he had already added me, and I just had to hit the accept button so I did.
