Chapter One

There is a girl named Aviva Susan Roanna. She was born in 1789 and still looks very young. She is still 10. She has shiny black hair and beautiful emerald green eyes. She is also very pale. She always wears a green sparkly scarf over her hair. She is still ten because she swam in the Always Here River. It's a river in Alibama and who ever swims in it...lives forever. She swam in it in 1799 and it is now 2016.

Aviva POV:

I am Aviva and I live forever. I don't tell many people because they might be afraid of me. I just sit in an old log cabin in the woods all day. The cabin is haunted by my family. They died here because of a murderer. The murderer tried to kill me first. When his knife went into my skin and was pulled out, there was no mark. My skin was still together and there was no pain. I looked up at the guy and smirked. He looked very mad I could see smoke coming out of his ears. I couldn't hold in my laughter.

It was all my fault my parents and my twin sister died so early. I was laughing so hard they came out of their beds. The beds made a lot of noise because they were old. My family didn't swim in the river so they don't live forever.

The man went into the room where they were. I followed him and I regret doing it. The look on my families faces when he stabbed them in the throat one at a time, will never get out of my mind. Their ghosts float around the house mocking me and trying to hurt me. They didn't want to die so early. I say it's my fault they died because I didn't tell them about the river. They also say it is my fault. They are family, but they hate me. They hate my guts.

When I never came back to school after my family died, people made up stories. Soon someone is going to find out what really happened. Someone that never heard of the fake stories people made.

Some of the stories say that I got eaten by a wild animal. LIE!! Others say that I got murdered. LIE!!

I hate what people say while they walk by the cabin. They usually say, "hey, that might be where Aviva lived." Or some people even try to sneak in. I always keep the curtains closed and the door locked for safety, though.

It is now 9:30 so I should be getting to sleep. I get in one of the old beds and right when my eyes close I feel water being poured over me. I open my eyes to see my twin, Aliaca, sitting on me with a bucket in her hand. I scream, "THAT'S NOT FUNNY ALIACA!!!!!!!!"

She mocks me so I push her to the floor and try to go to sleep with no other distractions.
