"What? What do you mean??" I asked, frantically.
"That guy you were hanging out with? He is our great enemy from our families." My mother said, firmly.
I was speechless.
"But, he was so sweet to me." I said in a quiet voice.
"Stop it." She snapped.
I felt tears of frustration coming off of my eyes.
"Fine." I said and walked to my bedroom.
I cried for like 10 minutes, until I heard tapping on my windowsill.
I wiped my eyes and rolled up my window.
It was Subin.
"Hey." He said.
When he saw my face, he asked, "Can I step in?"
I nodded.
"What's going on?" Subin asked.
"My mother said that your family is at war, and I think you should go home to your house." I sniffled.
"How about I stay a little bit?" He said and started to take off his shoes.
"Can I?" Subin asked.
I nodded.
"Hm, you have a nice bed, not to be creepy or anything." He said as he was looking on the mounds of pillows and blankets.
I smiled.
"Thanks."
"So, how about I stay for a little bit before I head home to my house?" Subin asked.
"But one tiny problem," I said and glanced at my window, "my mother opens my room everyday to give me my medicine"
Subin thought for a second.
"I can stay with you until midnight, then I'll leave." He said.
"Ok, yeah." I said and lay down on my bed.
Subin lay down besides me and took my hair on my ear.
"Sorry." He said, and turned away.
"It's okay," I said, "oh, I have two pillows." I stood up and walked to my bookshelf.
"Here you go."
"Thanks."
Then, I drifted off to sleep.
In the morning, I felt my mother tapping my shoulder lightly.
"I have your morning meds. Oh, what is that smell?" She sniffed, and then tried to cover her nose.
"What?" I asked, groggily.
"Oh, whatever. Just take your medicine." My mother took her hands and I reluctantly took my medicine.
Then, I looked at my windowsill. Still no Subin.
Wait, I had a faint smell of Subin when he lay down besides me.
"So, he does wear cologne." I said and stretched my arms.
I smiled.
